TBH don't know how anyone can listen to any radio commentary of football in general, I gave up years ago after listening to some commentary then saw the match on MOTD and wondered if the commentator had been at the same match.
To be honest those questions asked by Simon Clark were deserving of this contract withdrawal on their own.
Yeah sorry, the devil bit was aimed more at others than you. By the bottom of my post I'd forgotten I'd quoted you lol. My main issue with RH is they were happy to toe the clubs line (allegedly) when they had access. That's not honest and nor is it impartial. Plus whilst Burns might be a great radio DJ (honestly I don't know if he is or not), he's really not a great football commentator. If Viking do toe a club line, they're no worse than RH. The twitter responses to RH and Burns are interesting. Ranges from telling Burns he's awesome, to crap. That he was only any good because of Swan (!!!!) to hoping for Scunny in FM, motorcross coverage, more on Grimsby and even more rugby coverage.
Is there anything to stop H*mberside doing away commentary if the home team has a contract with their local BBC radio station? Not that I listen anyway. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Done properly it's fine. I've been stood at games next to some fans wondering if we're watching the same game...
I agreed that there was more chance of relegation than promotion at the time he said it[/QUOTE] Then much as I like you den, you know nothing about football. It was disgraceful him doing that. It wasn't honesty, it was **** stirring pure and simple. He'd have been run out of town at Sunderland or Newcastle doing that.
He was being very diplomatic, but he said the club was not happy with the coverage 'not just at games'. This is a very rare situation, it's very unusual for a Football League club to not have a commentary on their local BBC station.

No they're not allowed to cover City period . Don't know what would happen if drawn I league cup. Think probably still no coverage.
