Could be interesting... BBC Humberside Sport @HumbersideSport Radio Humberside Managing Editor on Sportstalk to talk about why no more #HCAFC commentaries on the station. Tweet your questions for him.
No ****er, hardly, liked your coverage you fat ****er. The last straw was the, more chance of been relegated than promoted line. ****. Or the same callers every ****ing week. Or the text message read out regularly, they should try playing rugby league it's a mans game, how many times did that get trotted out?
I liked his coverage, and like him off radio too I agreed that there was more chance of relegation than promotion at the time he said it
Last time in the Championship I was so pig sick of irrelevant chit chat from Swanny/ Burnsie on away games that I searched online via internet radio for the home commentary. At least you then knew what was happening despite the home bias.
I liked his coverage, and like him off radio too I agreed that there was more chance of relegation than promotion at the time he said it
Chazz seems to hate quite a lot.
Don't hate anyone. At all. Can't stand Burns and Swans footy coverage. Can't commentate on Burns' normal radio show or other things he does, but as far as football goes, he's embarrassing, especially when paired up with Swan who is worse than Gollum. One game I recall, they were on R5 Live as the chosen team to talk to the UK about the game. It was utterly cringeworthy. What on earth are these "hard questions"? I've never watched Fox News, so no idea what you're on about there btw. I've find local BBC news to largely be ineffectual, and in RHs case, they employ Swan and Gollum, and generally whenever they've come up on here, the largest consensus is, they suck. Factor in that despite me having paid a license fee for my entire adult life, I'm unable to listen to RH unless I pay for a **** service off Tigers Player. At least this way if Im unable to get to a game, or find a stream, I can listen to it on a radio. Lets wait to see how they are before deciding they're the devil incarnate eh?
Oh right. So he's said it differently than that? By that I mean was it saying it was better for everyone, them included? Hardly hard hitting is it? Nowt on Twitter? This is hardly PLT style questioning of the Allams is it?
Radio Humberside have confirmed that City cancelled the contract because the club weren't happy with the way they were reporting on what was happening at the club. Basically, criticism of the owners.
I know Burnsy & swannie are not everybody's cup of tea but in my humble opinion viking are ****ing awful- at least B & S are passionate about city -having to listen to viking is less appealing than repeatedly hitting my ball sack with a meat tenderising hammer!
Where did I say that they are the devil incarnate? Re read my posts. The availability on FM is really important, a full coverage is important and the ability to ask awkward questions as and when is important. (Apologies for the Marco type of response lol). I hope for you it is wonderful, truly! However, my point based on actual experience and knowledge of the sector is they won't commit as much as we have come to expect or need. I hope I am wrong, I suspect I won't be. As I said, we'll see mate!
I would normally state if there's a contract involved then the BBC could take legal advice. But we all know the usual laws, rules, regulations etc don't apply to the Allams.
I don't think that's what RH MD on Sportstalk tonight said at all. He carefully evaded giving any real reason other than something vague along the lines of 'the Club were not happy with their coverage of the games'. I'm sure he said it was to do with coverage of the games. I may be wrong, but I think he's being untruthful; it has to be more than just their coverage of the games. As for comments about 'asking the hard questions' ("our reporters are not scared of asking the hard questions")!! I listen to RH a fair bit. Incredibly, I must have somehow managed to miss it every time they've asked those 'hard questions'! Astounding comment to make.
No chance. just listened to the Editor (I think thats who he was) on Sportstalk. He was all PC and sounded like he was trying to pave the way to get back in their good books. I have been unhappy about a lot of things since the Allams took over but this has made me so bloody angry. I enjoyed listening to them if I was not at a game or not watching. That is not the point though. Even if you hated Burnsie and Swanny it is the fact that because they said what they were thinking the Allams shut them down. They have quite literally bought themselves commentary that is going to do nothing but praise them and not ask any difficult questions or criticize in any way. They will be able to dictate what the presenters say and we will never hear the words "Hull City" spoken. How can any of this be right. Honestly just when you think they can't sink any lower.
If this means we don't have to listen to GY & SCUN I'll get over it! And we'll see if burnsy get his arse on the terraces away?
The fact that the club has turned down commercial revenue from RH says that they've been removed because of Ehab's petulance, it's honestly so embarrassing the way he acts just because he can't handle a bit of criticism.
I can't say I was a fan of either of them. Certainly Swanny even less so than Burnsie. I think Burnsie has his heart in the right place even though he is a bit of a poodle and he's always keen to promote both the city and the region. It would seem the Donald Trump answer to problem solving has taken the world over. Viking FM is total, complete and utter ****e, FACT. I hope Burnsie shakes off his poodle-ism and takes this opportunity he's been given as a journalist to rip the Allam's a complete new arsehole.
