The OP wasn't talking about different views on Wenger, it was referring to opposing views on Wenger from the same person.
Well you're talking about something different then. Anyone can have different views about Wenger's strengths and weaknesses. But the OP was talking specifically about an opposing view i.e. He's Crap, Then He's brilliant. That is more of a contradictory stance than having a range of opinions.
I would say a range of opinions is healthy but having a contradictory stance negates the value of some of those opinions.
That's because your not understanding the OP's definitions. Contradictory means saying one thing and then giving an opposing view on it at the same time. It would be a bit like predicting a win, but at the same time saying that you couldn't see us winning.
No, but saying that you don't think we'll win whilst predicting a win is. Your response about having different views is fine, I'm not arguing with it at all. I was reiterating the OP's point about having a contradictory stance
He inherited a quality squad, bought in the right players to fill holes (along with a lot of dross but the good vastly outweighed the bad), lived off the resulting success for a few years but has found it hard to succeed with a team that has no inherited players And Cym must be pushing 80 by now
Jayram, thats not what is being argued, the argument is how can one person say Wenger is crap, then the next minute he is brilliant. Not even I can defend someone like that lol.
