In true Seinfield tradition ........ Jimmy signs with QPR, Jimmy likes QPR, QPR likes Jimmy. Aussie likes Jimmy. Jimmy wants to play attractive football. Aussie likes attractive football, especially if Jimmy can win games. Jimmy wants to win games. Aussie hopes Jimmy does good. Jimmy hopes Jimmy does good. Jimmy likes good. Aussie likes good. Good is good. Ok, it's settled then, we'll get behind Jimmy and wish him all the best.
I'm not too sure what to make of the impending appointment. It could go either way for JFH with us. He is inexperienced at this level but I suppose he does have a good lower league CV which is much better than some previous Manager's. I do agree with the general consensus that Warnock till the Summer was the safer option considering the mid table position we are in now. I will give the new Manager my full backing and hope he does well. I hope for the Board's sake that they haven't appointed another dud. If they did, the fans won't be very forgiving.
PS. JFH is only getting an interview isn't he like Powell has aleady had. We still have a Temp Manager.
Read somewhere he gave a farewell speech after Burton's win on Tuesday. That's the bit I don't get. Why leave Burton...a team that will/should be promoted this year...for a team not going anywhere...why are we attractive???
You and many others on here keep on telling us you are soooooooooooooo underwhelmed. Just a small point. Do any of you mind telling us why? What are JFH's characteristics that you know or believe make him such an obviously unsuitable candidate? Next question is who do you want? Warnock can't for the reasons he has given.
I respect your point yorkie...being ex chelski don't help...ability to alienate others, as he allegedly did at chelski, don't help...unproven imho as he has just took on the good job Gary rowett started at Burton.... That aside I will give him my full backing!
Whoever is welcomed into our fold then they get my 100% unless it was Harry Redknapp who was only ever interested in Harry Redknapp.
Beth? We are a West London club with a heritage that needs a little bit of work to play in the world arena Sorry but Burton with full respect be only ever be a fairy tale even if they make it to the top tier which I hope they do. As a QPR fan inside you know where we belong There are no excuses we are in the prime location in the world There are no excuses just need to find the best formula Our club needs a one time makeover Only then will you see results
Beauty's in the eye of the beholder - apparently, that or he was given the normal QPR project storyline & believed every word.
I know we are a bit of a basket case (slight understatement) but we have spent 3 of the last 5 seasons in the top flight, we had a history of playing good attractive football, we have a decent number of supporters who follow the club through thin and thin with the occasional bit of good times thrown in, we are London based, we play in hoops (well almost hoops, c'mon Tone get it right next season), we have punched above our weight in the past and there is no reason why we can't again, this is a step up from Burton and a step up in expectations as well........ As Sheff says on his Avatar....."Lets F*cking Do This".......... Up The R's....
For everyone who is saying Hasselbaink was taking over a Gary Rowett team; when he took over there were 5th in League 2 and had lost 5 games out of 16. By the end of the season, they finished top with only losing 8 out of 46. So for me, yes Gary Rowett was doing well at Burton, but JFH has done better. 30 games is a LOT of games in a season to impact, so I imagine a lot of that team was in fact JFH and not just GR's. The bloke has to be given a chance, and he has to have the full support of all the fans. From my point of view, this isn't an underwhelming appointment at all, it's actually quite an exciting one.
