Garry Monk Fish is only 36 - perhaps we could lure him out of management and Plaice him in our squad?

It appears so. Permanently. Unnecessary IMO.

Queens came back with an attitude, spoiling for trouble, which is a great shame. Mods didn't have any choice imo. Full marks to them for sharing their decision making process.

They really had no option. I've not been here long, but in that time I can't recall a civil post from him.

I've always quite liked Queens but can see that the mods had no alternative.

A recommendation to all posters who feel that any post crosses a line - firstly, address it politely in the thread (if you feel you can) otherwise flag it to the mods via PM (specifically citing post number and the problem you have with it) even if you ask for nothing to happen in response to that PM at that particular time.

This retrospective accusation (and Queens himself commented on the Paris thread at various times) is difficult to substantiate and doing it after the event means that people can inadvertently get dragged in who weren't even involved in the first instance and the tone of threads at the time can be difficult to judge (sometimes posts are jokey and sometimes they're genuinely meant).

Mods - I hope I'm not speaking out of turn although I get the feeling that your work would be less if people did raise things at the time rather than vague recriminations after the event that you probably feel duty bound to investigate even if the onus should be on the accuser to produce the evidence.

I think that is really harsh.
Queens could be a good poster but come back with an attitude which was going too result in a ban

Your right he was a good poster, but for some reason he kept looking for confrontation, left the mods with little option

Sorry Goldie but the only reason they've done so is because they were compelled to..........again. I was annoyed we weren't told anything the first time which is why this thread was started and again last night I dug it up because once again we weren't given an explanation. No marks to the Mods for having to be forced into action (twice).

I agree with Ozzie. Its an unnecessary punishment of a good bloke. Yes he was ranting and raving but it was Queens FFS. That's what he does!

Bobby and Chaz don't come out of this covered in glory either IMO

Not sure you've got that right. My posts to Queens were suggesting that he doesn't post whilst he's angry, and checks his posts before hitting send. That way, people would not assume he's drunk through so many spelling errors, and the tone of his posts would have been more moderate. I never called him any names or insulted him personally, nor did I contribute to the start of his rants in any way. I simply pointed out how his posts come across, and suggesteted how he might sort that out so that people can see what he's actually saying.

In which way does that mean I'm causing any problems?

Chaz you didn't "simply point out" Jack sh*t. You were arguing with him every day when everyone else just left him be. There's nothing wrong with that but I don't like the way you seem to be taking pleasure in the man's downfall. Being glad someone is permanently banned doesn't sit right with me, especially when you were the one poster who engaged in a slug fest with him.

And while we're at it, who's the tout?

I think we've a right to know who was the recipient of a private email from Queens and then brought that private correspondence to the Moderators to have him hanged?

What kind of a lowlife quisling would do such a backhanded, treacherous, cowardly act on someone who obviously thought they could trust them seeing as they emailed them in the first place?

Moderators, I demand that you name and shame that individual.

And fwiw, who's glad he's banned? Certainly not me. I was suggesting ways that he could avoid getting people wound up.

You seem to see a conspiracy, when in reality Queens really didn't leave the mods with any choice.
