The big difference between Poyet and MON/PDC is that after a couple of games he has already got the team playing to his style. For all of MON and PDCs huffing and puffing, the team never really changed style of play and that meant after the honeymoon period there was little difference to how the team performed. Sure, MONs team was slightly more counter attacking, PDC was slightly better shaped and arguably fitter but the general style was the same. Direct, knock it up the pitch stuff. Poyet has us playing, after a couple of games only, a different brand of footie and that makes me think that the effect may last longer than the traditional honeymoon period. Get Ball to setup the development and youth squads the same way, and I dare dream that we will have a few successful years to look forward to.
Well done yesterday>Did not expect you to get 3 points.Great result for Gus.I think you should reserve judgement til you see if he can get you back into the Prem at the 1st attempt
really liking Gus at the moment, his interviews always speak sense as he focus's on the positive, the team have took to his style of play and that's very important. i want gus to stay out of the media's attention as much as he possibly can. Too many times have Sunderland managers been the center of the press and it gets on my nerves,i just was the club to be able to go about their business nice and quietly
tenner for charity says not only do we stay up, we finish above Hull. This isn't new found confidence, I've said it from the off (check my posts) You're an ignorant little **** but I want to see if you're man enough to back up your big mouth. Tenner, what do you say?
