So, using the term 'prize dickhead' when describing another poster is being respectful is it? Don't you see how you undermine your own argument?

Indeed. You could say I'm being no better by abandoning my position of neutrality to engage in this discussion at all, and I'd probably agree with you.

Difference is that I'm perfectly willing to go back to a state of mutual respect with anyone here, while others are intent on causing disruption.

I've been on some really abusive and horrible forums and left because of that. This forum is far from it, infact it's quite nice which is testamount to Piskie's good job. If Jayram was being abusive then i have no problems with him being banned.

When have I ever hid them? Not the first posts I've made on here about people deserving the banhammer for disrespecting people. ;)

I agree, we should all be respectful of each other and refrain from any abusiveness. However, i love it when a rousing debate occurs with differing opinions. It's what makes a good forum.

Maybe i've missed certain posts but i find the majority of people quite pleasant on this forum....

Absolutely, have rarely seen (on any board - and I have visited the Liverpool one <yikes>) anything I would term abusive. People sail close to the wind sometimes, but it's just heated sporting debate in the main. Jayram's contributions (though funny to Spurs eyes) was just very downbeat on your team - not abusive. Him and Piskie were as bad as each other in the childishness of some of the debates.

No, it's not alright. But I ain't a mod here, I don't have to enforce the rules. ;)

I wasn't being disrespectful to anybody who posts here, anyway. :D

I dare say Piskie will disagree. Remember he always has the last word too.

The majority of people, yes. I agree.

There's always a vocal minority though who are intent on causing damage.

Murray, Jayram is not offensive, the only times I have seen him be offensive is when someone is offensive to him, he NEVER starts the abuse <ok>

so YES, his behaviour would be acceptable on 606 because the mods would've moderated properly .. in their over zealous why, but at least you knew where you stood.

If you don't agree with what Jayram says, that is your choice, but he should not be banned for voicing perfectly legitimate opinions that are inoffensive ! You can't argue against what he says, thats why you don't like him, simple.
