Read none of the comments. All far too long, However, as a long term BoB for me he can stay as long as he is winning. All I want is my team doing well. Kevin Keegan. Lee Clarke, Atilla the Hun or Darth Vader could be in charge. as long as we're successful. Dont think his success will last but I hope/pray/beg it will. To be blunt, I want Bruce in charge at the end of the season because - for me - that means we have had a decent season, Don't like the man. Would like someone else, but if he does the job, i'll shut up. x
I can't argue with that bobby, but personally I think that Bruce is a decent and honest bloke, so I don't dislike him..
I'm pleased the team won today, so pleased for all concerned including the manager. Just look at the next 6 games. Apart from Man U, we look capable of taking points in of the games. We have had a tough start. I'm not bothered in the least about the mags - good luck to them Pardew has done a cracking job on his resources. But there are many on here who judge our progress only in comparison to how we compete with the mags. Well, during November it is the mags turn to have a tough month with successive games against Man C Man U and Chelsea. I put it to you that the gap will have closed by the end of November, and we will be in the top 10 again..... making progress ..
Don't give a **** who is manager as long as we win games. This has bought him some time and a win against Villa will see us sitting in the top half of the table most likely. Quite happy for him to stay as long as he has finished with the crazy team selection and stops trying to be too clever and just play people in their best positions and two up top. Need to keep winning of course. Saying that if a really top class manager became avaialalbe would not be bothered if he was sacked but just don't see many out there at the moment.
After Man. U., we do have four or five comparatively easy games. But we said that last season - remember "give Bruce time. We have seven easy games at the run-in and he'll learn from his mistakes"? We won just three of them, lost home games against Wolves and West Brom by 3 clear goals, and he's learned damn all. I'm happy today, but one game isn't overturning a horrific nine months. And I dread the usual Bruce Spring. I want him gone - enough's enough.
I don't understand the mentality of the fans who refuse to voice their concerns instead preferring to pretend that nothing is wrong, as if to say that those that do voice their concerns are out of order. One win and out they come as sanctimonious as ever... as if to say, have patience and all will be well... Sometimes all won't all be well and it needs action to prevent relegation. I still have my doubts about Bruce and I believe anybody who applies a touch of rational thought should also have their doubts based upon 2011 as a whole. However today the team looked very highly motivated and the spirit of the team is an excellent indicator of the support for the manager. If the players can continue to wear the colours of SAFC with the pride they clearly displayed today, then long may Bruce remain in charge. Keep playing 4-4-2, don't let Elmo in the first team... keep playing Vaughan in the middle.
Now I'm very unhappy (prior to todays result) but agree completely with this. If we turn that corner and hit some form then not too late. The thing that annoyed me most is the constant breaking of our expectations and the constant turning back to the Newcastle game. He did it again today. Arsenal team was a joke and making them sit on a 1-1 when everyone watching could see they were there for the taking was lunacy. If we win a few games and get back to where we want to be then I will forgive. Lot of "if's" in there
it was **** hitting the fan time and a case of panic stations. Its about time the fans hit the ****, maybe.
