Does this mean you are happy with his tackling, heading and passing now? Only shooting to go?

That would be my position. If he can learn how to shoot and take a free then this lad could become an all round class midfielder. His development is going apace.

QPR Star Men – Heidar Helguson/Alejandro Faurlin 9 A straight choice between two outstanding individual performances and while you can accuse me of fence sitting, I cannot separate the pair. Helguson was a budget signing from Bolton Wanderers’ reserves three years ago and has spent time out on loan at Watford since then. Here he looked every bit as good as £27m Edin Dzeko at the other end – Richards, Savic and Lescott all tried and failed. Faurlin’s performance was very different of course, all guile and vision rather than brute strength and aerial presense. Not only did he not look out of place against the likes of Milner, Barry and Toure he actually looked better for most of the game. They were both almost completely flawless.

i thought he was mon sat & i'll think there will be a few scouts looking at him & will be lucky to have him next season, but would hate it if that happened.

No he can't. His shooting is terrible. However, the rest of his game is fantastic right now. Get the shooting right and we have a star.

No but given his age there's every chance he'll improve that aspect of his game. No doubt Curle and Jones are working on that as we speak. MOTM for me the other night.

If he plays like he did on Saturday for 90% of the rest of our games, I'll forgive him the odd wayward shot. I've not noticed this to be an issue (great goal at Wolves) but if the majority on here think it is I must be wrong. Still don't think we would ever expect him to score more than 5 in a season.
Do you think they have sorted out who is going to take shots from free kicks yet?

Ale has scored some good goals from distance for us, one this season at Wolves, and I remember a fantastic one last season. Don't know that we have anyone better in the squad at shooting from distance, Adel when he's on form yeh, maybe Joey, but nobody else from what I've seen. He misses a few too, but so did Beckham! Sure he can improve, he seems to have improved all other aspects of his game so no reason why not his shooting too.

We must always remind ourselves that Beckham, gifted as he is at dead ball situations, is complete pony at scrabble.

He can shoot that's rubbish as usual
He has a few off target attempts but what player hasn't ... He is taking his game to the premiership

I love this at the moment as most wrote him off as they are Taarabt we have two gems here who are growing yet some choose to rubbish them

You won't catch me rubbishing Taarabt the player, the boy yes.
I still think he can come good for us, this season.

Yeh I'm laughing all right, we're 11th in the PL!! :emoticon-0116-evilg Ale's shooting ain't laughable. He scored 3 others that were'n't so memorable, but he'd have scored more last season if he'd got to take more free kicks, Adel took most. He's had a few that rattled the aluminium as well and he'll get more this season! If not I'll stop laughing for a minute or two!

So, we've gone from some people saying he's rubbish to debating whether he can shoot or not!! Pathetic! Pundits everywhere are raving about Faurlin and if Ruislip, Joey and Brix can't see it, then basically that's their problem! He's a top player who is getting better and better. End of!!
