You could be right. He certainly showed glimpses of talent. But too little and too rarely.

If you can't win by logic, try using insults! Works for most 5 year olds.

You do know that it wasn't just Nigel who scouted or signed the players - it took a whole network that are still here.

Also the reason why we went after the players you've never heard of was because we couldn't get the players you've heard of - what draw was Leicester under NP? Now the draw is we have a world renowned manager that players want to work with - Kante didn't give any indication that he wanted to sign for us but gave a positive statement when Raneiri was appointed and Tisserand had said he wants to join us because of Raneiri.

As for Raneiri - I'd say his last achievement was a year ago when he got Monaco promoted as champions and led them to 2nd place in Legue 1 the following season.

There are negatives to everything but until Raneiri actually does something, I will keep the faith.

    Logic?

Explain the logic to me that says Danns and Peltier was good players for us then?

    FF enjoys being an arse

... first go back and find the bit where I actually say that either were good players for us ...

... second go back and read the statements that you made ...

... thirdly then come back and concede that I simply quoted historic fact in each case - facts that showed your posts to be 'innacurate' ... by the way, that's arse speak for 'wrong' <laugh> ...

... finally; have I actually told you that I enjoy being an arse? ... or is it just another groundhog day where you make an assertion that you know something as fact when it is merely your opinion again?

Danns was terrible, but your being too harsh on Peltier, just because he came in after Naughton outgrew us doesn't make him terrible, no-one was going to be as good as Naughton.

He was a way better than Pantsil <ok>

Danns and Peltier were both poor.

They might have had an impact on one or two games but on the whole they were a poor replacements for their predecesors (Wellens and Naughton).

Proud, don't be so touchy about it and Fossy, don't be so pedantic about it.

Now, where were we...oh yes...that bloody Ranieri chap :emoticon-0121-angry

It was clear to how how bad Peltier was once Ritchie De Laet came in. Miles better then Pelts

Since he left he has been around to a few clubs. Leeds, Forest, Huddersfield and Cardiff

The network is still here for now. I pray it remains so.

Pearson signed exactly the type of players he wanted. Hence we got the results we wanted - promotion and survival in the Premier League. He was in charge when we brought in Cambiasso, arguably the biggest international name to EVER play for our club.

I was talking about Sven not Ranieri in the post your quoted. Like you, I'll reserve judgement on Ranieri's signings until he actually makes some!

Regarding Monaco - yeah, it most have been hard getting one of Europe's biggest clubs promotion and then up to 2nd place with a Russian billionaire's fortune behind him. Monaco were one of the biggest spenders in Europe in 2013, spending £140m. I wonder what the FFP people would have made of that! The only surprise is that they got relegated in the first place. It would be like Arsenal getting relegated here.

It looks increasingly unlikely that 34-year-old Argentine midfielder Esteban Cambiasso will sign a new Leicester City contract.

    Leicester Mercury.

I don't see this being a problem, im certainly sure we wouldn't want to rush him and theres no word of him being closer to signing for anyone else.

We've been looking for another midfielder all summer regardless of whether he was going to sign or not, i think Kante has just been replaced with the guy from Nice.

Well since we were told he was going to assess the managerial appointment before making a decision, I think this says it all.

Will he? Wont he? Shall we resurrect the poll from 12 months ago? Wonder if he turns up last minute for any flights he takes.

I'm sure he has a number of options to choose from. I can't see the managerial situation being the determining factor in his decision. I really hope he stays as I think he was central to us surviving last season.
