... bit confused by your contradiction in the post ... personally I rated Neil Danns nut Sven played him out of position. ... also thought Bamba was an improvement on what we had at the time...
Sol Bamba wasn't entirely crap, one of the most entertaining defenders of the past few years He did buy the top of the flops as well, Beckford, Danns and Mills, thank god for Bolton! I think these 3 are the 3 that stick in everyones heads as biggest flops. Some of the signings were good for a time, or are still good: Schmeichel Naughton Peltier (even though he was no Naughton) Bamba Konchesky Nugent Others were pants(il): Van Arrnholt Pantsil Ball Mills St. Ledger Danns Vassell Beckford Im not defending his reign by any stage of the imagination, his tactical nouse was poor, if we couldn't win with his diamond 4-4-2 we were buggered.
In answer to the original question... Not yet, apparently... https://www.clubcall.com/leicester-city/cambiasso-agent-confirms-deal-talk-premature-1775025.html
Danns was awful, he talked a good game but never delivered once Was he better then King, James or Drinkwater? No And Bamba was a terrible defender, his flamboyancy covered that up alot. Nowhere near as good as Wes Morgan
Im sorry but Peltier was absolutely ****. Poor defending and offered nothing what so ever going forward
Your joking right? 1 good game makes him a good player? Lets just forget the 30 games and remember this 1 then Mark De Vries had the game of his life against Tottenham but he was still ****
He scored a goal! Paul Konchesky has scored a few goals over the years so he must be brilliant at going forward FF theres are the 2 more pathetic counter arguement points I have ever heard
Nope Danns didnt deliver for us at all. Hence why Nigel shipped him off to anyone who would take him Trying to defend him using a rare good game is absurd
... you said he "offered nothing what so ever going forward" ... care to retract? .. if you open yourself to obvious response don't whinge when it happens...
Thanks FF. I was trying to remember than one good game he had! Can't believe that, now Ranieri is being compared to Sven, there's a "Sven wasn't that bad" vibe going around! Football fans are hilarious.
I believe you mean that, because we signed some well-known players, some fans were happy at the time. But this is where a manager and fans differ. Fans see a player once or twice on the telly or look at the types of clubs they've played for and form a half-cocked opinion. Managers have to be keyed up on how players are doing at anyone time, including on and off the pitch antics, which is often achieved by scouting. A good manager brings in quality players you've never heard of (Vardy, Mahrez, Knockaert) a bad manager signs "names" that are past it (most of Sven's signings, most of Redknapp's signings - and before we get into a debate about Redkanpp, I'd say he was a great manager once, but most of his achievements were 15-20 years ago - why does that sound familiar?). Beckford was a panic buy when Maynard feel through and was never going to cut it. Mills was a stupid, nonsensical piece of business - and that was before we found out he was a nob.
... not defending him .. just pointing out the obvious flaw in your comment ... not surprising that you can't see it mind
You did like Danns though as I seem to remember. Pretty such we got into a heated debate about the guy a few years back!
.. agreed buddy ... Proud being the obvious example .making sweeping, flawed assertions then taking umbrage when they are pointed out ... nice to be on the same page for once.
