Which reminds me. I met George Best at the bookies in Edinburgh years ago when he was getting a 1,000 pounds a game playing for Hibs. Once the news got out the shop was choc a block.

What a disgusting comment you made regarding your ex-Manager David Jones (since deleted). He was cleared of all charges against him I believe.

I suggest you remember to turn off the lights on your way out...................

Many years ago, I had trials with Pompey and injured my knee which subsequently required surgery and the entire team and Alan Ball the then manager visited me at the hospital.

Then later, still some years ago now, I sat and shared a few beers with old broken nosed Steve Aizlewood in my kitchen at a party I and my flat mates hosted. He went to same class as one of my flat mates went to at evening school,he brought a crate of lager and sat and drank a large part of it, he begrudgedly shared a few bottles with us though. At the same party a hideously sun tanned Mark Hateley turned up with two cracking birds and he was really a nice guy, that was just before his transfer to AC Milan.

In more recent years I know Kevin Dillon and he is a regular on the BBQ circuit. There are a few others I have met briefly but not to talk to at great length like the others listed here.<ok>
