Hartlepool vs Southampton

We have been saved by the other results again. 2 games in hand on P'boro and Hudders and 3 on B'mouth. I will look at that as a positive thing.

 

With this result we need to stop Swindon making it five wins against us in five games.

 

Too right, Surely they can't get another result against us can they?

 

Well we do like to let ex players score against us for some reason.

But no I really don't think that they can make it number five.

 

I hope not but they do seem to be a bogey side for us. Whether they are the same sort of team now Austin has gone I don't know they do seem to be struggling a bit of late Just a point out of the relagation places. However if you look down there with Swindon you have Plymouth both of whom have taken 3 points from us this season.

 

Have Swindon got the players left to do their "Park the bus and hit on the break" style of recent games?

 

Having lost Austin I expect that to be the way they will play and then try to catch us on the break.

 

To be honest isn't that the way they normally play teams like us? On the few times I have seen them they haven't struck me as being anything particularly special including when they had Austin. That is not meant to be a criticism of them, more a criticism of us. So why are we having a difficulty with them? Football just doesn't make sense at times.
