Aye we went with a back 3 to start with, which you cant do if you dont have a natural CDM as means you are too open - which we saw with the goals

Looked a bit better when we went 4231, feel sorry for young johnson as hes played LCB, LB and RB in that 45 minutes!!

very sloppy and slow start, pool's grabbed onto every slip and played some good stuff, kept us pinned back as well.

pritchard running around but only jewi seems to be trying to match him, doubt we will see any changes straight in for the 2nd half.

 

A curious first half, more questions than answers there

 

Aye huggins started CM and has played RB then LB at the end. Not good for young lads to be moved about loads, im sure TM will be admitting he got that wrong.

Ba started to come into the game at the end, but agreed needs to make a bigger impact throughout a half rather than just a few good minutes. Jewi has been nonexistent, except for when he rolled around the floor several times when he got tackled

 

would not risk any players that going to start on Sunday with our luck with injuries

 

Has anyone not been horrendous in that half?

 

Id say pritchard and gooch have been ok, pritchards corners n crosses are shocking, think hes had 1 decent one. Hes dropping too deep at times but think thats because our CMs cant pass through the lines to him.

Gooch has tried to bring energy to the game and we have been better since hes gone into CM

That's why I made the point about tonight being a mistake. Should of just had a behind closed doors game if they needed extra mins.

 

Triantis looked good for the first 5 minutes then seemed to concerned with diving in

 

Team selection all over the place. Morale booster for Hartlepool that half.
