    Possibly <laugh>

I'm sure there's several guys like that. Doesn't one have a Tyne Bridge across his gut? <laugh>

Took that shot at the Swansea away game. Seen him before somewhere though, don't know if he rubs himself with goosefat or he just doesn't feel the cold. Didn't look too bothered with it there.

The Undertaker? The bloke with the long dark greasy hair, dark suit and white shirt. Hasn't missed a game home or away since the 1960's?

This is how I'd rate things based on yesterday:

    Plus Points:
    1. Marvy looked class
    2. Amouthful is confirming himself as a very worthy back-up player, way better than Guthrie.
    3. Curtis Good getting game time. What happens when he becomes a star, will he become Curtis WorldClass?
    4. Tavernier looks good at left back
    5. Lots of coppers on Sunderland train station platform, friendly enough even when some started shouting "we hate sun'lan'"... Guess someone on here gave them a tip off about the other half's rage problems <whistle>
    6. We saw Pardew and Saylor's head in the dressing room through a window, so we shouted encouragement and then ran off...

    Negative Points:
    1. Gosling really hasn't endeared himself to me at any stage and though his through pass was good for the first goal, his game overall looks woefully short of Amouthful's, Abeid's, Vuckic's or Bigi's potential. I really hope he starts meriting the favour he seems to have found from Pardew.
    2. Shola's injury, Marvy looked like he'd picked up a knock but played on.
    3. Debuchy's Tooshie and I were very close to the front of a food queue when they ran out of everything bar a bag of Haribo...
    4. Some aggressive abuse after the game by three 12 year old's. I don't know if they were lucky I was with a lady, or lucky said lady with the strength of Tiote's forehead was with me. Never understood it to be honest. You want to abuse someone in the street, you better be willing to accept the consequences, so hopefully little ****s who do this should get a pummeling at some point and learn the life-lesson!
    5. The atmosphere was alright, but not what I thought an away match would be. The people in standing mostly were just obsessed with trying to start fights. Noticeably the ones with their tops off, making fighting gestures and smoking ran off well before full-time...
    6. Tried to start a chant of "Santon's, wearing, Santon's wearing magic boots", but the other half wisely nudged me in the ribs... That one was never going to catch on!
    7. Santon got comfortably outstripped by Hartlepool's fatter equivalent of Wayne Rooney, with a head-start... If he's fit, then I'm very worried. If he isn't, I'm even more worried... To summarize, very worrying!!!

It also confirms we need a CB better than Willo as back-up, and with Shola injured a striker is becoming more important... Which is horrendous with Sunderland having to do a Liverpool just to get bloody Fletcher!!!!

I've been impressed by Marv every time we've seen him play. Looks to have class control, vision, and passing ability. Just a shame we haven't seen him enough. Looks half way between Cabaye and Ben Arfa imo.

Hundred percent with you, I'm excited about him getting more opportunities next season. He looks a bit like N'Zogbia to me, except he's a bit slower, but hopefully without the attitude!

Could become an important player for us next season!

Not sure I see that much of Zog in him. I think he's got a better passing range than him, but I don't know about his striking, or his pace. Never really seen him attacking fullbacks like Zog did. Not entirely sure what player I would liken him to, or even what his strongest position is <laugh>

All I know is he's got definite quality. Just hope he stays fit!

Cliffy had travelled to the game by train and as I was coming out of the ground somebody was asking a couple of toffs which way it was to the railway station, the toffs asked him where was going to and when he said Newcastle they told him to jump in the car and they'd drop him off.

Just goes to show there is a bit of friendship and charity around.
