Polam Lane used to make traveling fans sitting ducks as I remember. The Darlo Casuals used to battle with anyone who came here.

Well no disrespect to the Darlings on here, but I'm hoping the Pool stay up. The more northerners to look out for the better, excluding the obvious!! Every week I look out for, in order.... Us Pool Carlisle Berwick Mags and Smogs can whistle Dixie though their ring piece before I'll give a **** about them. Darlington used to be in that 4, (or 5 as it was then), but someone sold the club to a safe-cracker and it was downhill after that...
Straight to the bottom with a thud. The team move back into the town next season so I'll get to a few matches. Look good for another promotion too.
They were demoted 5 leagues to the Northern league marra. I'd call that an almighty thud. Wound up, renamed Darlington 1883 and moved to Bishop Auckland. But won the Northern League first season and lost the northern premier league play off after finishing 2nd the next year. This year they're 2nd to Salford with two games in hand. So the climb has begun. Only lost 14 games in the three seasons(111 games) since the demotion. They've made an agreement with a venue to move back into the town from next season so they're beginning to restore some identity.
I get to quite a few Darlo games... And they still have a cracking away following even now the club is in the doldrums. They've had a little blip this last month but fingers crossed for another promotion this season. They are only a division away from being back on the video printer !!!
2 weeks ago I had them to lose on an 6 way accu at 24/1 and they won!! Only one I got wrong!, couldn't win with brick top fixing the fight but they managed that one!
