id like to point out im not saying the subject was fine...

im just saying it seems like other similar threads / annoying thread are tolerated more than others and it always seems like the known "WUM"s get a lot of leniency at times.

You all get leniency. I barely ever mod anything you lot chat. Ever. But when it's a thread bitching about each other, what's the point in that? I wanted to stop an argument from starting, but clearly not!

Seriously though guys. I leave nearly every single thread apart from ridiculously stupid ones up until this point, so as to give everyone free reign (unless it's a complete WUM attempt, of course) - I close one thread that was potentially going to spark an argument from 3 of the most argumentative posters on this forum, and people get annoyed?

 

I think you all do a a good job 99% of the time.

things like this the 3 mentioned people are on here constantly and are attention seekers and most threads they make end up with slagging matches anyways.

i think im just getting frustrated at the switch on these forums from quality to quantity.

not meaning offence, just feel like some of the ones who ruin the experience on here get too much attention for some right utter garbage

 

Most dictators start out with good intentions. We've got to watch these mods.

 

So why would you be for giving them more attention with a thread about them all?

By the time they end up slagging matches I tell everyone to shut the **** up anyway and try to divert it back on track before it'll just die anyway. I just tried to prevent any more arguments happening but clearly I failed

And you don't think that thread would have given even MORE attention to said posters? It was ABOUT them!

like i said im not saying the topic was fine.. but this thread got insta locked... where other threads with totally off the wall "opinions" which i think most can see are designed to cause friction stay up. id just like a little more balance

 

Jesus, now thats what I call obsession. If we banned him from our board he would probably leave the site.

 

Most of those threads start off as decent topics that just stray away. I wanted to stop that thread straight away, because it definitely would not have ended well

Like I said, I like to leave most threads. I don't like locking each and every thread that ends up an argument because people will then complain for TOO much modding!
