Harry had been playing well until he picked up an injury when Dawson returned. Unlucky to lose his place in the starting 11. Most on here were calling for us to play 3-5-2 yesterday so you can't now moan that SB never tries anything different. However it wasn't working and we were much better as a 4- 4 -2. Whichever 3 play in the 3-5-2 system should be comfortable with it as we've played it often enough. As for Curtis being dropped, he has been below par for a few games IMO - although that could be leveled at plenty of players.

watch the highlights on the Sky Sports site - it wont let me paste here - he did a good cut out early on but for the most part he was constantly out of position and failed to stop any crosses coming in. in fact if Junior had done his job properly, Maguire wouldn't have even needed to head it - incidentally, his miss was one of the worst I've ever seen and as for 'provided an assist' for the second goal, arf, massive deflection
It wasnt one of the worst misses was it. The goalie was out onto him and he skyed it. A centre half doing that, no surprise really. If that was one of your worst ever you obvs dont watch a lot of football, especially us.
Maguire was all over the place for the first goal. Elmo totally at fault, though Hudd letting the man away from him to have plenty of time and space to plant it behind Elmo didnt help. Bruce had to come over to cover.
Yes I'd say he was culpable for the second along with Maguire.

Seems Harry was the greatest player ever when not playing now he has, not so much.

Harry played pretty well yesterday, depends what's wrong with Dawson really as to whether Curtis comes back in, he was certainly the best of our defenders, his simple willingness to take the ball forwards which Bruce and Dawson looked very advers to doing was a great positive. Only 2 bad performances yesterday I thought, Elmo and Robbo.

I would play Harry on friday.

neither Chester nor Davies hoofed their chances in the final - they were both calm and composed - although to be fair Junior and hoofing go hand in hand so to that extent you're right - no surprise that he skied with an open goal beckoning -on a separate issue I also agree with you about Maguire, good solid player but much too slow which I can't see changing - so on that basis I'd be surprised if he ever makes a regular Prem player - certainly not the key to success that some people seem to think

Come o get over it. It was nowhere near the easiest chance ever. Remember Jelavic against Leicester? That would have put the nail in their coffin. The world would have been a different place if he'd stuck that one in.
Snodgrass skied a sitter the other week far easier.

Think its poor form to start having a go at a lad who hasn't played for weeks really on his first match back, what do people expect. Nobody was complaining about his slowness when we were dominating teams and he was playing, apart from Waggy of course. He put that to bed after a couple of matches in the team.

it was certainly the easiest chance ever that completely escaped Brucies post match interview when he usually names the culprits for missing a glorious chance - for some reason Junior never got a mention unlike Clucas, Snodgrass Davies etc when they '**** up' - can you think of any reason why his dad never mentioned it

The problem yesterday when we played 352 was the 2 wing backs Robbo and Elmo played too far forward, leaving room behind them which Huddersfield exploited.

So right formation, but poor execution by the team...
If only they'd understood exactly what the armchair managers on here meant by 3-5-2

I was at the game not sat in my armchair. It was clear for everyone to see what was happening, and when Dawson went off and we reverted to 442, it got better at least defensively.

Harry should be made Captain next season and also be the first name on the team-sheet too. I think it will happen, him and Davies together. Dawsons a great player too but Maguire is better for the team in my opinion and also the future of Hull City

He's got a nice touch! But he gets caught out by the quicky and tends to grab at his man! Love to see him play as an holding midfielder just to see how he goes?

Is he your love child Bojack? He seems to be able to do no wrong in your eyes! 2 goals conceded, both of which he could have prevented, don't seem to have dampened your love! Maguire is a competent Championship player, no more no less. His lack of pace is a problem & although I agree he always gives 100% that's not enough.
