I think I might qualify for that train aswell mate. I'm not a virgin but its been so long I think it's grown back
Zarate is the story of the season....signing him so early in the window....finding out he is injured, then won't play with our Chileans...trying to send him back....cannot do it....then not playing at all I assume we are playing his highly inflated wages...mugs...never learn. No wonder the proper pros are so annoyed
To be honest I'm getting a bit sick of our 'senior pros' having a go at anonymous other players and getting all coy about naming names. Hill has been at it for years. And if Barton is a 'proper pro' I have clearly lost the plot. Fact is, with the sole exception of Fer who is a bottler in the tackle, I haven't seen any 'not trying' along the lines of Boswinga and BAE on the pitch. Poor organisation, poor concentration, lack of basic skills sometimes, yes, but not lack of effort. The Chileans may have been shocked at the standard of our facilities and the clear lack of professionalism at every level of the club, but they ran their balls off (out of position) whenever they played. Zarate has been back at West Ham most of the last few months, losing weight. Traore is a weak character, Taarabt we all know about. They may have all been troublemakers behind the scenes, but, as Jenas said, it's a pathetic recruitment policy that doesn't check character as well as skill, and piss poor management that can't get them onside or kick them out as necessary. We're down because we aren't good enough on and off the pitch. Blame shifting can't hide that.
