Hate to disagree but 'Arry is being consistant. By saying that if Spurs don't qualify for the CL we will struggle to keep Modric and Bale and also saying there is no way Spurs will sell their best players, he is reminding Modric and Bale how important and what good players they are. It's part of his man management skills, keeping their self belief up.
I don't think many of us on here doubt his man-management skills. That's not the problem. The problem(s) as far as I, and many others, are concerned are, his ever open gob. His tireless self promotion, and his seeming willingness to treat us as a stepping stone to further his ambitions. Now the England job has gone, his tune has changed dramatically. I doubt somehow, that a certain Mr Levy has forgotten, however.
