Harry was saying that he needs to bring in some good young players or older players with the right attitude which was the important thing to instill the right attitude in the team. He said the difficult thing would be getting rid of the players he needed to as no other clubs are gonna be willing to take the wages on. He said we have to sell to buy...

How much have we spent on a league 1 squad then?

Remy and Samba cost more than most entire Championship clubs.

A ridiculous thing for a man to say to try and prise open the purse strings again.

Deep breaths Matt, it's not worth it.

    Grrrrrr!!!!

Oh, and it's a great way to shift our unwanted players - "you're only good enough for a league where the wages are only 5% of what you get now. However, you're surplus to requirements so would you like to leave your contracts and see how you get on the big wide world?"

It's not moaning its criticism, sorry if that upsets you. Though if we are not entitled to moan after relegation and a season of dire football, I'm not sure when we would be.

    Keep drinking the Kool Aid.

From and outsiders point of view.

I think Harry is a good manager. He inherited a bunch of ****. From Mark Hughes mostly and the panic buying from Warnock because the club was being taken over and he had no time to get a balanced squad together the season before, thats when the problems really started. Hughes then went mad like a fat kid in sweet shop. Signing foreign unknowns such as Diakite and old pros looking for one last big payday see Zamora and Bosingwa.

I would say stick with Harry or you will end up with someone like Paul Jewell.

Give Harry time, you need stability right now to clean out all the **** you have on your books.

You are going to need the core of your players that you had in the Championship like Mackie and even Taraabt next season, get rid of the big time charlies and get your spirit back.

Kemp hit the nail on the head with this: "I think Harry is a good manager. He inherited a bunch of ****. From Mark Hughes mostly and the panic buying from Warnock because the club was being taken over and he had no time to get a balanced squad together the season before, thats when the problems really started. Hughes then went mad like a fat kid in sweet shop. Signing foreign unknowns such as Diakite and old pros looking for one last big payday see Zamora and Bosingwa".

I would like to see Harry given the chance to rid the club of the mercenaries and deadwood and pick players / buy players that want to play for the hooped shirt. SOme of the deadwood will be hard to shift - however, if they are stuck in the reserves not getting a game surely professional pride wil mke them want to request a move to play somewhere else.

Haven't been on here for quite a while due to work commitments and family stuff but hopefully should have the time to come on here more often than I have.

You need to get rid of some of the higher payed players on the cheap and buy some fringe players from good PL clubs.

Fancy Dan Gosling for a mil?

Cash in hand, no questions asked.

I tend to agree with Sb. Harry seems to be getting his excuses in VERY early.
I don't agree with him anyway. This squad, on paper would absolutely cream the Championship. I realise that it's the attitude of some that needs sorting/getting rid, but keep most of the squad we have, add 3 or 4 additions and I'd be pretty optimistic next season.

Sorry Col, but that's bollox. Our squad would struggle to finish mid-table. As Harry says, the balance is all wrong and has been all this season. We don't have a true playmaker, the odd flash from Adel is not the answer and we don't have anyone else that can run a game. Our defence is a joke and has been except when Harry decided a nine-man defence against the big boys was the answer and upfront Remy is the business when he gets a service but the rest of them are pants.

If we can get rid of the expensive, self-centred wasters and replace them with players who actually want to play for the shirt and the balance is right we'll challenge, if not another woeful season is in store but it's a lot more than three or four players...

I said we need to make at least 4 changes. I believe we would have the best playmaker in the division (Adel) and that we would have easily the strongest squad in the league. I did add that we need to get rid of the players with the bad attitudes. I don't believe there's that many of them!

Watching a few of the Championship early kick-off games that are live streamed on Bet365 and consider we would fit in just fine with most of the teams on display today.

Unfortunately Barnsley have just conceded in their game at Huddersfield (1-1) so have slipped back into the last relegation spot instead of Peterborough, who have just gone 2-1 up at Palace.

Wolves, 2-0 down at Brighton, look done & dusted - hope that's not our experience next season.

I guess a trip to London Road is a bit closer than Oakwell.

As far as I'm concerned Zamora was a perfectly acceptable purchase when Hughes got him, as was Diakite, who i think still has something to offer. Zamora hasn't had the greatest of seasons (who has?) but at least he's put some some shifts in - we've looked 10 times ponier without him. As for HR - I agree. we need stability now more than ever. if he turns out to be useless next season after building his own team stick the knife in then . As for people talking about this younger hungrier manager - who is this mythical genius just waiting to be plucked from the lower leagues?

i agree with Harry 100 per cent our current squad are not good enough for the Championship. We will go straight down to division 1 unless there are major changes. I was at the MK Dons game and they p---ed all over us and the Championship is harder. I feel so sorry for TF. He allowed Sparkless to sign a complete bunch of to--ers The fact we are where we are now is 75 per cent Hughes fault. 4 pts after our first 14 games what a complete joke of a manager who said well never be in this position again. If he handed back his wages to the club id be half way to forgiving him
