Surely if you are going to waste 8 million of the public purse and not secure a conviction, it is money that would have been better spent on employing more call handlers, enabling us mere peasants to actually get through to them when we phone. Thieving bastards.
This trial has been a complete and utter waste of time, resources and money. One can only hope that the numpties who decided to prosecute two innocent men and drag their reputations through the mud will lose their jobs over this. It will never happen, of course.
