And steve wigley. p.s. not that I accept the premise. Niemi was one fo the best goalies int he club's history, Le Saux was a decent replacement for bridge, Crouch, Phillips and Camara were better than your strikers. Midfield and defence was a bit meh in general but Redknapp didn't help by signing Bernard. edit: rory delap still at a premier league club at 36, anders svensson part of the sweden team that bead england the other day. nigel quashie wasn't bad at all really.
harry: "QPR is my team now. The grandkids are all getting QPR kit this week. This is my family's team now." I like this..... I can see why players want to play for him
yeah, they are a bit gullible. i remember louise redknapp at a match with her kid in a saints kit. mercenaries. edit: I say I remember. I've probably kept the photo because louise.
He wants 11 players who will put a shift in. Who are these mystery men??!!! I can name about four or five but after that I run out of names despite the size of our squad. Mackie - top of the try hard list Adel (ok, only recently but he can't have helped but thought the "hands in the air" comment was meant for him) Derry - hardly had a game though Clint - solid if played in the correct position Nelsen - only player who worked hard in the 1st half against Southampton Can we rely on Faurlin or is the slack attitude of Ganero rubbing off? I have doubts about most of the others digging deep and pulling the proverbial finger out. Cisse, SWP, Park, Ferdinand, Hoilett, Traore, Bootswinger, etc etc are all to fond of letting the head drop and not getting stuck in. Apparently Harry wants some old heads (sorry Flyer) to help sort us out and is rumoured to want Scott Parker, Michael Dawson and Peter Crouch. I think we'd welcome anyone who tries hard at the moment but are these players the answer? I can't help but pinch myself though. If you had said at the start of last season that Warnock would go and that by November 2012 Redknapp would be our manager I reckon you'd have been dragged off by the men in white coats. As another former Spurs legend once said "It's a funny old game"!!
I don't think you can accuse PARK or SWP as not giving there all, SWP tries hard every game, he is just crap. Scott Parker, Michael Dawson would both be great signing IMO but I don't think we are lacking in the CM area - Faurlin, Granero, Diakite, M'bia, Derry, Dyer can play in here as well. He needs to concentrate on the problem areas Defence and attack.
Add to this list Cesar, I know he is only a goalie and it different for goalies..they don't think...they do...I know I was one M'Bia he tries.... alittle to hard some time Diakite tries too hard too Park he tries but needs to be in the right position and may I say Dyer...he is so desperate to play...all that is letting him down is match fitness Hoillett can impress too There is your team Formation CESAR DYER, NELSEN, HILL, MBIA DERRY, ALE, PARK DIAKITE ADEL MACKIE and junior to come on...a team of triers and nearly triers Not much forwardness...but triers
Is there point in subscribing to QPR Player any more...They put the Harry's press conference up about an hour ago....Seems like I'm the last to see it...
I think if, like me, you missed it live, there's now no way to watch the press conference, except through QPR Player. I'm not a Player subscriber myself, but there are quite a few exclusives like this on there. If I wasn't so tight I'd consider signing up for this reason.
Yep. 'Arry's done the formalities with his usual aplomb - and I am relieved with his appointment. HOWEVER - afraid that nothing's gonna get me all worked up unless and until I see enough points on the board. Claustrophobe me. Been locked in the basement for far too long! As for players who try, how come we're suddenly suggesting Granero's a non-trying mercenary? With the exception of first half against Saints where he was clearly placed out of position, the guy hasn't put a foot wrong. Precisely the quality upgrade we've needed. If 'Arry doesn't regard him as our Modric, I'm clearly missing something...
the best bits are here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20496226#asset It's a bit of a luxury now you can stream stuff live but u do get xtra bits u can't get on the youtube channel...
Perhaps its my older computer, but this season I find the QPR Club website horribly slow to load and navigate. The Championship season I took advantage of the 2 week promo free trial offer to Player, but did not subscribe - I guess I'm "tight" too - happens when you have 5 kids and massive debts.
Cheers for the link Seahoop! Kilburn - It's not just your old computer mate. The new website is an absolute browser-killing multi-media nightmare!
"Don't stand around with hands on hips waving your hands in the air" that was the best bit of the whole thing.
The most refreshing QPR Manager interview I've seen since Holloway's days. Some players are in for a right shock. Agreed on the Official Website - its a generic design forced upon Clubs that sign up for it, but it's user-friendliness is seriously wanting. I rely on the QPR app more these days now it's being updated regularly.
