I'm sorry if I'm missing out some quite obvious news reported elsewhere, but I haven't heard much about Harry recently. Does anyone here know anything about his tax hearing?

Are you worried about him going to prison, or not that bothered?

I personally think he's a very good manager, but he does have a reputation for going through clubs and spending quite a lot of money, I'm curious as to whether you're worried he'll do the same at Spurs? He's spent a fair amount, but it's nowhere near the region of City.

If he was to go, which other manager would you like to see at spurs?

Just interested by the way; if anybody takes this the wrong way - then you're wrong.
 
I like Harry, he is old school. His presence will be sorely missed by the game when he calls time.

He's done a cracking job at most clubs he's been at, without ever really taking the big step and winning things. In his time he has specialized in helping out lesser teams maintain their league status. When given money to spend he has proved that he possesses good judgement in acquiring players. Players like working for Harry and i guess this is due to his persona, which we get glimpses of every time he gives an interview. Some say he likes talking to the media too much, or more so than would advisable in modern football, where the interview chair is often the front line of mind game warfare. Personally, i don't mind this.

Lining up a replacement for Harry should already be on Levy's agenda, though i imagine you can never plan too far into the future the way things are today. It's hard to say who i would like to see replacing him at WHL. It would have to be somebody capable of sustaining this momentum, so would probably have to be a manager that has a few honors to his name. I don't see any outstanding English candidates at the moment sadly.
 
Yea I have noticed he can let a little bit too much slip in interviews, but I suppose I'd prefer a truthful manager than a lier who forever denies making contact with players etc..

Personally I think if you were given Rafa, he'd ensure you got back into the top 4 (hopefully not at our expense though) as long as he was given funds to spend.
 
Rafa Benitez wouldn't play the sort of football we want to see so it would be vital he got us in the top 4 straight away
 
Not saying Rafa is perfect, and perhaps my judgement is clouded somewhat by their CL triumph. I call that "the best game of football i've seen" even to this day, as a complete neutral. He also came close to winning the league in a season which Man Utd accomplished the highest ever points total, i think? FA cup and other honors. Maybe it all came too suddenly which made the last couple of years in his tenure seem like a failure. And it was, but it was partly due to losing two key players in Mascherano and Xabi to Barca and Real respectively. His replacements were appalling i agree.

Until Harry achieves similar success however, i can't see how you can call him the better manager?

I completely agree with you, and most Liverpool fans will as well. Up until 2009-10 we were doing absolutely fine, and were as close to Premier league success as we've ever been. Unfortunately, it was a mixture of owners and player instability that caused rifts, and everything went pear shaped.

With your management, and presumably with some decent backroom staff (he fired all of ours because he didn't agree with them) then he'd do well.
 
Not concerned about 'Arry. It'd take a judge with a real chip on his shoulder to give him any prison time if he's found guilty for his part in the tax evasion.

I think 'Arry leaving us after this season will be good timing for everyone. My choice for next manager would be Moyes he knows the league very well and has impressed with Everton making shrewd signings. Ancellotti is most fan's choice, he's taking a year out and has said he'd like to manage in England again so it might not be impossible to get him. I'd be dead against Benitez, I wouldn't pay to watch his style of football.
 
As for court, all we know is July, hard to see he's sneaked in and out already, he's in SA today, so it must be at the end. Having googled Southwark Court, Mandaric and Storrie are due in Court 7 tomorrow.

Begs the question why he stayed here, leaving incompetant Bond and Co. to deal with Mod pulling out with injury!!!???...a defeat, and same ol, same ol...no goals....Presumably he had to do his Sunday newspaper column about everyone elses transfer dealings!
 
Imo, Harry should have had his arm round Modric and the rest of the team from the start, the people he's decided to leave in charge of those critical first days, have epically failed, I can't imagine a worse start to a pre season. Only the Court case could take priority over this, so if it wasn't, and seeing as there's no media comment at all to say there was, then why he has he stayed here?
