I'm sick of hearing about the pair of them. They want privacy, that's their right. But stop putting press releases and PR out to the media. They want to wash their hands of the UK - that's their right- just stop talking about it and live a happy life in LA. The media seem to be trying to keep them relevant for whatever reason. They deserve their peace and so do we. It's getting boring. Am I just being a moaney twat or are other sick of hearing about them?
Yes I know I've fanned the flames by creating a thread about them but it's in the context of my beel.
Is she one of the Princesses? Can’t stand Harry and Meghan. They don’t mind the privileges derived from being members of the Royal Family. But as soon as Harry, in particular, was expected to start repaying the Public by way of service and Royal duties he immediately ducked out. Contrast that to the Queen. She’s in her 90’s and still carrying out Royal duties. Harry & Co claim they want their privacy and then go out of their way to court publicity and use their royal connection to make money. Also contrast them to William and Kate who have constantly through the pandemic involved themselves in trying to help and raise spirits. Most of the Royals I can’t stand but the Queen is a different class and William and Kate look as though they may be following in her footsteps. Yes, Chippy is a moany t**t. You want to hear him go on when it’s his round and he won’t get them in. But I agree. Harry and Meghan are entitled to privacy but they should stop the hypocrisy of wanting privacy whilst courting publicity and money.
I don't mind Harry. In my opinion he's done plenty for the country, serving properly in the armed forces rather than just a token position. His work on establishing the Invictus Games was superb. I also have no problem with him using his platform to speak out about things he believes in either. I don't think speaking out about something negates your right to a private family life either. I'm not a royalist though I do respect the Queen. I don't particularly agree with people being born into positions of privilege and authority rather than earning them. I certainly don't have a problem with anyone effectively resigning from that position. Nobody should be forced to keep a job they don't want to do. He can't give up his fame though as that has already been thrust upon him, so I don't have a problem with him using it to try and do good.
UK needs major top down changes like. Scotland leaving for one, or just making the country a federal state. Just let the Scots and Welsh have full control of their own countries, give England a national parliament. And ffs, this monarchy is no good. I know it makes us unique and special, but an elected head of state, a new political system and other important changes are super important for the country.
We need to get rid of career politicians. Instead it should be people at the top of their game. Example instead of a nobody like Gavin Williamson in charge of education how about a head teacher. Or a surgeon progressing to being in charge of NHS and not Matt Hancock. Etc
See we wouldn't need that if we had a truly fair government and political environment. The problem is the more you filter down something the more likely corruption will creep in and having jobs for the sake of jobs. Tags the NHS, it's decimation is down to it being run (poorly) as a business with layers upon layers of middle management. This is now happening in education under the guise of academies
The way they've done it with Cities like London and Manchester is good moving forward. Giving Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Swansea autonomy would also do well to dissuaded nationalists.
That's all true, but people north of the border simply want to magnify differences between us and truly dont give a **** about the politics. Only reason I say Scotland has to go. Don't need em and prevent progress.
