Indeed. The VVD price raised the bar massively, compared to Maguire he suddenly looks like an absolute bargain <laugh>

i just don't get it - a player that I watched at L1 level, not much more than 5 years ago, now worth £80M - speechless mate, just speechless at the stupidity levels that the game in this country has reached.

Was chatting to a mate the other day, he was saying that 3-4 years ago a player like Maguire would be a £12m-£15m signing.

Transfer fees have gone ****ing full bananas.

No vitriol .... plain speaking .. always been sceptical about just about everything the troll posts... he's a typical internet troll ... that you can't see it is fair enough .... but I've never bought any of the Stan stories ... very quick to put the likes of HIAG down but HIAG has the cajones to put himself out there ... Stalky Stan keeps his real self well away ... because the reality would be very disappointing to his fan club ... just my view ... but a little troll like Stan will never impress the likes of me <cheers>

Around 5 years ago VvD was looking quite decent in Scotland mate so a similar trajectory really.

Personally, I do yes. Similar, not the same. Plenty scope to continue improving.

Not sure the relevance though, VVD was signed by Liverpool 18 months ago, not at the same time.

Prices are continuing to go up.


Is Gareth Bale better than Ronaldo? Similar price tag so has to be seen as, right?
