Whoever the manager is there is a huge rebuilding job. The whole club is a mess. The fans know it, and will give him 100 % support
This is the way it should be.
Our new manager has a massive task, as do the new owners. God alone knows what Meire and her cohorts have done to the way the Club is run internally, perhaps we will learn something about it as the truth emerges over time.
Once we know who our new manager is, I hope every reasonable minded fan will get behind him 100% and give him and his staff time. There will be setbacks and maybe mistakes along the way. But for pity's sake let's not rush to count these up and use them to undermine him.
That's rich you might say, coming from somebody who did not have one good word for Karl Robinson.
To that, I would say that in my opinion Robinson was Duchatelet's man. He was willing to put up with the Board's incompetence and lack of support for him, and his attempts to identify with fans were clumsy and bogus.
But the days of Duchatelet are almost over.
When he goes, my cynicism and automatic distrust goes with him.
There may be a few individuals still employed by the Club who appeared to be supportive of RD's methods, but I hope they too will be gone once the new owners have installed their own people. Or at the very least they will be willing to change their ways.
