They didnt give you all the cash up front did they? I thought some of it was in installments?
They must have paid for Modders by now surely. I doubt they've paid fully for Bale.

Hazard's so crucial for you though, he's been carrying you recently. If you were to sell, there are very few players who could replace him.
Not sure about Modric but given how they dragged out the negotiations they probably had quite a protracted payment scheme. I'd be surprised if their CL win last season didn't trigger some money going to us though.
As for Bale, I think I heard/read a few weeks ago that the difference in the value of the transfer that both clubs announced(think it was £8mill) was because Real get him for less if they pay it quickly. I think most transfers are done with a significant amount paid over a few years though, I remember when we took Defoe back off Portsmouth and part of that was simply us cancelling out the remaining balance on his sale and Kaboul's.
That'll be to get the highest fee. Reus signed a new contract recently too, but I expect him to move in the summer.
We'll just have to see I guess.
Suarez did a similar thing last season I remember, signed a new contract in January, so its possible, but I think he will most likely be a Chelsea player next season, unless we get an offer too good to refuse and Hazard decides he wants out.
Benteke's been injured for most of the season and hampered by Lambert being utter ****.He looks quality there is no doubt but next season will be big test as his card will be marked etc.
Benteke (Last night aside) and Lukaku are just 2 that have had difficult seasons by comparison to last year.
Villa just weren't scoring at all for months.

Dont even get me started on the Chelsea Academy.....anyone who has seen my rants on the Chelsea board about it will know my feelings about that.
Is it though? It's not like he rotted on our bench. We sent the lad out on loan, he got exposure and has ultimately moved on to secure regular football at a decent club. We've made a profit and everyone's a winner.
