He's signed Wood, Vardy, Futacs and now Kane (not Waggy). Vardy would have been down to Walshy's scouting. Futacs was always back up as we had no target man. You can also class Knocky as an attacking player.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/hull-city/transfers/verein_3008.html And someone had better tell SC Paderborn 07 how much you paid for Proschwitz as their accountants reckon they received 3.3M Euro's
You don't know the accounts cover all of Prozzie's fee. Big fees like that are often broken into installments.
Since Nigel came the first time we have signed Paul Dickov, Yann Kermorgant, Paul Gallagher, Martyn Waghorn, James Vaughan, Jacob Blyth, Jamie Vardy, Marko Futacs, Anthony Knockaert, Chris Wood and now Harry Kane Wood so far has been superb and Waggy was when we had him on loan. Knockaert is different class Gallagher has done a job for us over a number of years, Gally was signed a striker but I dont think he has ever played as an out and out striker (Argubaly he still can now) Kermorgant was a massive fail Futacs is still pretty much untried but now surplus to requirments Blyth is with the development squad (Currently on loan at Notts County) Vaughan did a short term job for us just to cover Fryatt while he was injured Vardy was a gamble which so fail looks to have failed And Dickov proved an invaluble asset to us off the field but didnt do much on it. He helped Matty Fryatt's game no end
Transfer transactions show total liabilities, not just those paid immediately, future payments would still have to be shown in the accounts(only add-on's don't need to ne included, as they may, or may not happen).
But why wouldyou only show it as a £2M expense while they show it as income of 3.3M euro's? Think there's a dodgy exchange rate transaction in there somewhere
I'm aware of what Paderborn say the fee was, our owner said the same, but it's not what we've paid, nor will we ever pay that headline figure now, he can't even get on the pitch. This has been done to death on here, I'm sure the Leicester fans don't want another bollocks debate about the fee paid for Proschwitz. And if you believe the numbers on transfermarkt.co.uk are accurate, then I'm getting on to Steve to nominate you for this weeks soppy bollocks.
You have no idea what's in Paderborn's accounts, you bullshitting bastard. I can feel that soppy bollocks trophy getting ever closer...
Have you actually seen the accounts? The article Ricardo put on here didn't go into that level of detail, in fact your local journo said that the outgoings "likely" only included the first installment of the Prozzie fee.
Please may I refer you all to a quote from Fosse on the Prossie thread, made on 14th February 2012...
I haven't seen them, my accountant just went through the main points with me, he usually forwards me a copy, but he hasn't bothered this time.
There's four of them, but only one who's a City season ticket holder and is interested enough to get a copy of the accounts every year.
I was only talking about his second term. He already had Nugent as well I should add, so all we needed was one first teamer to replace Beckford (initially Vardy then Wood) and a main back up striker to replace Howard (initially Futacs now Kane). Regarding his first term, we already had a successful combo (Fryatt and Howard) so only needed back-up (Waggy on loan and Kermo). So really I would say the only striker that's been a big disappointment has been Vardy, signed to be in the first team but not actually even good enough for back-up. Wood has been a great success and the rest we're mainly back-up anyway.
Think Kane has been signed to play. Dont see him as back up. May be on the bench for Blackpool and Blackburn, but once he has settled in the squad, I think that he and Wood will be the main strikers. Nuge will replace Marshall if he doesnt get his act together quickly.
If that is the case it will be back to the days of Sven where players played out of their normal positions just to get a starting place!!
TC, I wouldn't worry too much about trying to tell them what they paid. They're convinced they haven't paid as much. Probably down to the shame.
We'll see. I think he'll start as back-up but if he impresses, he might replace Nugent up front. What then happens with Nugent will be interesting but personally I don't agree with playing players out of position. A threat from the bench is what we've been missing. When things haven't been going our way, you look at the bench and see Waggy, Vardy and Futacs and you don't tend to think they'll get us back in it. Nuge or Kane off the bench will at least provide that.
