The fact that he's come out about wanting to win trophies on the same day his contract extension is announced tells me that he's spoken to Levy about it. Wouldn't surprise me if he's agreed to it on the basis that he can leave if Spurs don't win anything next season.
In addition, with recent successes comes more pressure to perform and to keep up with the crowd at the top. In the past, they were always happy to remain rank outsiders but now they are playing in Europe's premier competition, there are added responsibilities.
Don't be so naive. He's just come out and said that his main priority is to trophies and it ain't happening at Spurs. Kane's words, not mine
Naive? bollocks. He obviously feels he can do it at Spurs or he wouldn’t have signed. #cllutchingatmorestraws
Both in terms of paying the going rate for wages and holding onto their best players. Along with trying to pay for a new stadium. Spurs are where Arsenal were 10 years ago (albeit without the trophies)
Or he's been given an assurance that he can leave if Spurs don't win anything and has signed the contract to ensure that Spurs are properly compensated.
Piskie, step back and read your comment...it sounds quite desperate. Don't care that much mate, don't let it bother you.
