Cristiano Ronaldo was named the world's best player at the 2017 Best Fifa Football Awards at the London Palladium.

Real Madrid and Portugal forward Ronaldo, 32, beat Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Paris St-Germain's Neymar to the honour.

Ronaldo helped Real to a Champions League-La Liga double in 2016-17.

Lieke Martens of Barcelona and the Netherlands was named the world's best female player.

Real Madrid's Zinedine Zidane was named best men's coach, Netherlands boss Sarina Wiegman won the female coach award, while Arsenal's Olivier Giroud received the Puskas award for the best goal of 2017.

    Celtic won the fan award.

  7. On the day that Kane smashes Shearer’s 22 year old record, I thought it appropriate to revive this prescient thread - yet another of mine.

It would be great to see the Hurra get a record-breaking 3rd successive Golden Boot.

I am, of course, reminded of several muppets who claimed that Kane was a one-season wonder. <laugh>

Even those with a low footy knowledge kept quiet, sensing that Kane was something special. It took a very special fcukwit to write off the World’s greatest striker.

So, lads. How much further is this Spurs legend going to go?

He's a world class striker. I'd be surprised if he doesn't end up at Madrid sooner or later but It'd be great if he stayed at Tottenham his whole career.
I'll also admit that I didn't think he was up to scratch when I saw him in the early days.
Didn't think he was a one season wonder though.

Twice, in interviews, he has said that he will spend his career at Spurs. All the big clubs have given up chasing him for that very reason.

Please don’t peddle the same ignorant muppetry as the other fcukwits on this board.

Yet, you think you’re now right that he’ll leave Spurs, even though he’s said, numerous times, that won’t happen.

As limited as your knowledge is, you are still way ahead of Pixie. At least you have that in your favour.

I’ve copied this hilarious statement for future piss taking so when he leaves I’ll rub your face in it like I did with Bale & Modric

He'll stay if Levy sorts your wage structure out. He clearly likes playing for Spurs...but when ****houses like Benzema earn 5 times his wage he must think '**** This'

You talk like he'll be a Gerrard or Terry...those days are gone mate. It's now all about the cash.

Levy could change the whole wage structure but that's risky as Sissoko could end up on 200k a week.

  15. Don’t fall into the ways of the Muppet, Bro!

    Kane will not leave Spurs.

This isn’t like Bale, Modric, or Berbatov, which is the argument used by ignorant muppets from around the forum. None of those players ever once said that they want to spend their careers at Spurs.

Kane isn’t bothered about the wage structure. The likes of City could offer him ten times what we pay him, and still he’d keep kissing that cockerel perched atop a football.

Harry Kane. He’s one of our own, mate.

I'm not using Modric and Bale in my argument...

Rose let the cat out the bag and if you seriously think Kane will stay without the wage structure changing you my lad are deluded!

On the day that Kane smashes a record no one had ever even thought about until Sky manyfactured it...

Anyway, he won't be playing Saints every week. But he stands on the verge of acheiving great things, does Harry Kane. So much so that in future, when I hear the sords 'Harry' and 'Spurs' in the same sentence, I will no longer think of 'orrible **** Redknapp - so he's done a big favour to people called Harry.

As far as Spain, needs trophies to back up his goalscoring talent.

He's World Class..He doesn't need trophies to back up his goal scoring talents...he's already getting bigged up without them...yeah trophies would be good.

Let's not get the two mixed up.

TBH, I think, like Shearer, he’s very loyal and attached to the club. Having said that, if he gets to 27-28 and we still haven’t won anything, he may well decide to make the move.
