Thing is Queeslander, he is still at the club, so if he IS fit, it would be churlish not to play him. He CAN change a game, and hopefully he will. And that's coming from someone who doesn't want him at the club any more either. But, for the good of the team, if he's still with us when the window closes, he is worth having in the match day squad.

Fair enough John, but what evidence do you have that he can change a Prem game? A few good games over the past few years and a reputation from a lower league where he was covered by others?
He has the skill, no doubt but is a 1 trick pony without the mental capacity to fight for us.., he is a quitter mate and as such is no use to us
I've never doubted his skill, just his application
So question is mate, in our position and predicament, can we afford to carry a luxury player ? Not sure myself.

Um Queens, this isn't a thread about should Taarabt play or not and there's no mention of whether he makes a blind bit of difference of not either.

The article is saying that Redknapp was trying to make a point about his desperate lack of resources (and his need for transfer funds) by playing Adel but in fact was inadvertently making the point that his purchases all sat on the bench haven't delivered despite the big spending needed to get them here.

That's still conjecture of if that was in Arry's mind but it was a strange move either out of some weird desperation or it was indeed making a point as per the story. It was clear that he wasn't fully match fit (even Arry said he's only been training for a week) even though I thought he kept the ball well enough and played it fairly sensibly (although clearly off the pace) so there's something behind it.

Personally I'd be sacking him instantly if he was deliberately playing an unfit player in a match that crucial just to send a message to the board that he needs more money to spend again. If he played him out of genuine intent then fine (if a little odd).

It's the knowledge of what we all know he CAN do, whether he does or not is an entirely different matter, sadly. You'd hope that constructive conversations were had between Taarabt, Redknapp and whoever else prior to his being included. If there was any doubt, you'd also hope he wouldn't have started such a crucial match.

But can we afford a luxury player who won't pull a shift? No way.

Read it how you like Matt
All I have read are pro trBant posts for a player who had abused our club more than Zboswanks
I couldn't give a f about his ability anymore as he had taken all of you psying fans as mugs and pissed on your support of him
Yeah, he maybe could become a decent player if he tried, but for paying fans to openly worship him is a disgrace
You are entitled to your opinion about a manager who got us promoted at first go and got rid of most **** z. Z but facts are Adel has of and cannot deliver on the big stage.. That my friend is why he is still with us

I suppose the simple question is this
If Adel is anywhere near half as good as his lovers believe, then why hasn't someone else bought him in the past 4 years ...?
Simply because he isn't good enough.. What people post on here rand **** compared to what qualified managers around the world think !
Sorry time. I have posted before that I don't agree with your blogs and as such don't read them any more. If you want to comment about the son of a former sacked player then that's stupid
Il comment on your drivel if you want but I've given you the courteously of not posting on your blogs.
If you'd like me to then it would be quite easy to pick holes in your "warped" sense of logic.

There's very little comment on this thread about his performance or right to be included mate (although there are countless others).

This whole thread is purely about whether Arry was sending a message to the board trying to request a transfer kitty (by playing Adel.

Well, it was until you started talking about Adel relative merits. ;) :p

if putting in a shift is punting the ball upfield with a wish and a pray it may stick plus running around aimlessly then good luck QPR
playing Adel for whatever reason at least gives us hope because this great team we have at the moment is totally devoid of attacking ideas
I do not see Taarabt as a luxury I see him as the key. He showed Saturday even at 10% of his capabilities what he can do
Stepped onto a football pitch in poor conditions in a very poor team and did OK very close on a few occasions of playing brilliant passes that unlock any defence .. no luxury in my mind play him Harld and play him saturday … he will do it just watch him

I don't really write blog pieces about QPR much any more because I no long enjoy it. Out of interest, what's wrong with you? Your immediate recourse to words like "stupid", "drivel", "fool" etc. suggests you're a very angry person. Doesn't that get tiring?
