Don't be daft mate i just dont think lynching people helps ... if was speeding or pissed my opinion will change , but an american is prone to.this mistake as we would be over there... its a tragic event , but what good does lynching her for a genuine error make? Zero
Not when they're visiting England they don't. I live in a country that drives on the right, I can't slam into a 10 year old and say sorry but what can I do.
She should come back and face trial, but providing she wasn't pissed or speeding I dont think theres any point punishing her because she has to live with it and im sure thats punishment enough.. just my opinion as i originally stated.
I never said that, but if im used to driving on the right its much more likley ill make a mistake ... ive made them myself, but i wasnt unlucky enough thankfully to pay the price she has
I doubt she'll even receive a big punishment honestly. I'd be shocked if they prosecuted her with man slaughter or something.
So whats the point... we live in a blame culture and sometimes it really is just life and terrible timing.
Remember when that kid was eaten at Disney land and they went hunting it? I recall the chief saying "it's now got a taste for blood"
I don't know. The jury will be told all of the facts and then can decide, just like they do on every other case. The question is whether there should be a separate rule for the wives of American spies. I would suggest there shouldn't be.
Bump. Harry Dunn's mother on TV this morning, she still hasn't had closure. I dont know how the driver can sleep at night, I'm sure many of us couldn't. She should come here and tell her side of the story, tell it how it happened.
Just an unfortunate mechanism of the modern world. I feel sorry for the parents for sure, and as a father I'd be absolutely raging. Reality is though I struggle to get particularly upset about this one case we've heard about. This happens regularly all over the world and is one of a number of prices to pay for diplomatic relations. We may not agree with it, or buy the greater good spiel, but this is how the world operates - and has done for 100's of years. I see little point in getting upset at these mechanics because its not like we can influence it. Basically another bit of news not worth getting involved in. Its the same with the raging debate about refugees and boats etc etc. Stop blowing their ****ing countries to smithereens to suck their natural resources etc, then it may be worth discussing the millions of refugees trying to get here or other countries. One thing at a time, and lets deal with catalyst for these issues first, not the aftermath. In terms of getting animated because of some elite controlled narrative designed to distract from the real issues, it seems a bit silly to me - it isn't going to change. Oh what a wonderful world
I wager that woman driver has been told by a lawyer/diplomat/trump not to return. Yet another case of bigwigs making decisions and trampling on others.
Once the incident happens, the diplomatic machine takes over, she just follows instruction. They'll have had the top lawyers advising them immediately, who will have said that standard practice in this situ is to pull them out and re-assign them at some point. The relatives will get over their dead kid...
Anyone with any decency would go back and stand trial, it is an accused person's right after all. She is clearly a ****bag.
