Best Driver: Alonso - split the red bulls on the podium Worst Driver:Shumi Best Rookie: Perez Best Team:Red Bull Worst Team:HRT - very slow and awkward looking Best Overtake: Button on Rosberg - on the edge overtaking, done well Funniest-moment: Maldonado coming out from nowhere Most Surprising Result: Hamilton finishing 4th Least Surprising Result: Red Bull dominate podium Special Mention to: Alguesuari Race Rating: 5/10 Best BBC commentator/presenter: Everyone was as Good as always Worst BBC commentator/presenter: N/A Best Commentary moment: Cant remember any Overall BBC coverage rating: 7/10 Poll added, give a vote for your driver of the day
Best Driver: Vettel Worst Driver: Maldonado. Schumacher was close behind, but at least he had car issues. Best Rookie: Whoever finished highest. Too disinterested to check. Best Team: Pound-for-pound, Toro Rosso Worst Team: Pound-for-pound it's between Renault and Williams. Hispania had a relatively poor weekend too, I expect them to be competing with Virgin. Best Overtake: Schumacher with a broken front wing on a Force India (Di Resta I think). Undeniably he had a terrible race, but if anything he looked better with a broken front wing. Funniest-moment: "I can't go any slower" Most Surprising Result: Alguersuari 8th Least Surprising Result: Karthikeyan 24th Special Mention to: The Sauber drivers: Perez for beating Kobayashi, Kamui for coming closest to making the race interesting. Race Rating: 2/10, one of the dullest races in the last five years. Best BBC commentator/presenter: Brundle was back on form today. Had him down as one of the worst in Canada Worst BBC commentator/presenter: N/A. We know that most people don't particularly like Jake and Eddie, but it's not their fault that people are employing them. They called a spade a spade today, which is all you can really ask. Best Commentary moment: Maldonado appearing out of nowhere. Overall BBC coverage rating: 8/10: strong overall coverage, albeit of a dull race.
I forgot a better special mention. Congratualtions i think to kathikeyan for becoming the first man in F1 to finish 24th.
Best Driver: Vettel, the only driver who was faultless through-out IMO. Worst Driver: can't really remember much Best Rookie: Perez, first team-mate to beat Kobay on the track in F1 Best Team: RBR Worst Team: HRT Best Overtake: Button on Rosberg Funniest-moment: "I can't go any slower" Most Surprising Result: Kobay not in the points Least Surprising Result: Vettel Special Mention to: Alguersuari, if only he could quali like he's been racing Race Rating: 5/10. if only there'd been an accident or 2 like we had at Monaco to turn a borin gprocession into something worth talking about Best BBC commentator/presenter: Brundle Worst BBC commentator/presenter: The Woman Best Commentary moment: "I think it's a different finger he's holding up to the other drivers" Overall BBC coverage rating: 8/10. The spanish video feed was great, always looked for interesting battles regadless of position. yeah, massive surprise considering he came 4th
Saw a lot of McLaren fans in a pub after the race, wanted to say hi and do a few Sebastian fingers. <- Seb finger
Best Driver: Alguersuari Worst Driver: Liuzzi Best Rookie: Sergio Perez Best Team: Red Bull Worst Team: HRT Best Overtake: Alonso taking Webber Funniest-moment: Hamilton contradicting himself Most Surprising Result: 24 cars finishing Least Surprising Result: Vettel winning Special Mention to: The checkered flag for bringing an end to this **** fest Race Rating: 2/10 - Simply awful. Best BBC commentator/presenter: Brundle Worst BBC commentator/presenter: Jake Best Commentary moment: When they ended the broadcast. Overall BBC coverage rating: 4/10
Becuase he's in a grand prix and having just taken on new tryes, being told to slow down is about as useful as a chocolate teapot, Of course he could just park it at the side of the track that will save the sodding tyres genius!
I seriously expected Hamilton to tell them to do one, when they told him to slow down! I would have asked them if them wanted me to park the SOB
Yes, that was very funny with Hamilton being told to slow down. Yes he has to conserve tyres, but still. Conversely, when Massa was catching him towards the end of the race, he was warned by his engineer and responded with "I am going as fast as I can" Oh these tyres, how things change 10 laps later edit: the track is so uninspiring, the race generally so dull, that I hope they do away with it. So that's my vote in general - overall nil points. Get rid.
Will McLaren publish the rest of the conversation? 'You want me to f*ckin slow down? - are you all bonkers?' 'You want me go faster?' - why don't you all work on getting this heap of **** to go faster instead!'
The hotel room i watched the race in overlooked a car park which: 1. Looked better than the Valencia track despite only containing the air con intercooler and 2 bins 2. Had better racing when 2 people went for the same space
