Erm anyway..... Back to LEICESTER ( this is the Leicester board right.?) A great start for us today. Everton showed their class in the 1st half but we more than matched them in the 2nd half., don't think Schmeichel had a save to make. Many positives to take as Everton will beat many teams away from home this season. Wes Morgan and Liam Moore were magnificent and great that Ulloa got off the mark straight away and really please for Chris Wood, took his goal well Just hope Drinkwaters injury is not too serious. Hope we get Cambiasso signed up next week and still got Albrighton, Vardy and James to come back in. Small matter of Chelsea away next week then Arsenal. Ughhhh welcome to the Premier league boys. Gotta love it
Cheers Patches and glad you beat that rabble down at Loftus Road. Would like Wood to stay as is very young and certainly knows where the net is. If we let him go for 2 million I think we are crazy His goal today hopefully added another 500k
I think today has shown that every squad player has a role to play. Who'd have thought Schlupp, Hammond and Wood would have figured so heavily already?
Pleased with this, especially with a somewhat weakened squad. Great for our new signing to get a goal on his debut, and that Wood wants to prove himself in the Premier League. Where the **** is Cambiasso though?
I saw Pearson has said he is staying. He said he's had a few conversations with him this week and he's happy to stay.
@StringerSport: Nigel Pearson confirmed on @BBCLeicester that he will “try and accelerate” the deal to bring Cambiasso to #LCFC
Nope. He had his 31st medical last night. Pearson said that he wanted to accelerate additions to our squad, and said that negotiations are ongoing with Cambiasso and he wants someone else to come in to provide a goal threat. Hopefully we will see some business over the next week.
All very positive. Whether we still will be after the Chelsea and Arsenal games next up remains to be seen
Other than Ulloa a team we wouldn't have put out last season have ended up playing very well in the Premier League. Answers a few questions about depth. I don't think there is any doubt Everton's first touch and precision passing was better than ours but liked the way we closed them down in the second half and fought to get a result.
Was a great result and a pretty good performance ... Ulloa was a handful and scoring on his debut against a team that many pundits think could challenge for top 4 will do his confidence a lot of good - respect for Chris Wood also ... put himself about and took his chance well... Everton were very good - especially down the left and I though Pienaar was superb .... but my man of the match has to go to Wes ... was Lukaku playing? ... £28 million? ... Also a big up for Konch ... I'm not his biggest fan but I thought he was excellent today ... Nuge was sadly ineffective against the team he has supported since he was a boy and I hope he finds his mojo in this league quickly ... he did, however, put a shift in ... they all did really although Knocky was at times criminal in giving the ball away ... hopefully he will learn quickly that you really can't be doing that in this league ... Mahrez got better and better as the game went on and I think he will give us many a thrill and torment many defenders this season... Just wait until we can get the first team out eh? One final point ... am I alone in not having seen the FA's 'Special Compensation Directive' ? ... the one that stipulates that Gareth Barry must be allowed half a dozen fouls, 50% of which can be bookable but may be ignored, before the ref may show him a yellow card ... and the small print that then also allows a further bookable offence to be completely ignored if said player has indeed already been shown a yellow ... I suspect Everton may well find this directive to be of huge benefit as the season progresses
Why can´t the pair of you (Grifter & Patches) just **** off & have your little tiff on on of your own boards & keep the f*** off off our´s. I don´t mind a chat about football with other fans & even some banter, but you 2 are just having a pre school fight around someone else house. Unreal.
Look at this whingey baby. Shove a bratwurst down your gullet and stop bleating We ended the conversation for your fans' sake and now you've dredged it up again Stop hijacking the thread.
Now be serious Patches ... I've better things to do with my time .... I'll just phone your parents and have them take you both away from summer camp before 'graduation'
King was excellent and Hammond exceeded expectations but still doesnt fill me with confidence. Nuge wasnt brilliant but by playing the way he plays as quite a direct link between midfield and attack it allowed the team to play better and more effectively just like they know how to.
