Happy New Year one and all, NAP - 2.15 E Street Boy - slipped last time when taking closer order, did well to get back into race but couldn't quicken. Steps up in trip and being by Kayf Tara he should appreciate it more, I still think he is really well handicapped and should win today with conditions to suit. EW - 2.45 Dontpaytheferryman - Course and distance specialist (4 wins from 5 and full course form of 311131) who is reverting back to hurdles after finding the fences too tough last time at Wetherby. The better going will suit, the return to hurdles will suit too and he is on a fair handicap mark (won off 126 and now runs from 125). A return to positive tactics will possibly help too. 12/1 EW Some really interesting racing at Exeter, with a good novice hurdle to start the card and a fair beginners chase in the middle. I just wish that the handicaps would be more competitive, or of a higher quality. Then we have Chabal who could be anything. Unfortunately he is in a very decent novice race and I will just be watching him return at Fakenham. A race for reviewing later no doubt. One that really interests me on the AW is Royal Bajan in the 2.25, one of very few pace angles and better than last two results (taken on for lead) and could bounce back to best if given soft lead. I worry that they may take him on early with Moorhouse Lad though, any thoughts on the race?
Happy New Year to the Not606 Racing Forumites... I do hope you had a good one, and didnt have to many sherberts to upset the ole head this morning... Happy new year all some lucozade to shift this pitiful attempt of a hangover. The geordie lad beats the beers BOOOOM VIOLIN DAVIS a bit big at 15/2 today
Exotic Man (named after oddy) has a great chance im told by JD providing its no to soft, official going Soft, good to soft in places, so i think i will have some of that as well
Had a thought that with a postage stamp on it's back and a liking for Fairyhouse, maybe Speed Dial might just be able to get away with the 14:00.
Jeez, im like a kid in a sweety shop...!!! Ive hardly had a bet over the past week or so with work and what have you, looked in on the thread a lot to see some have indeed had a good week or so... A few shorties... 12.25 Exe - Big Society, 15/8 1.40 Muss - Imperial Vic, 9/4 3.20 Muss - Phase Shift, 9/4 2.20 Catt - Brave Spartacus, 11/8 Singles n Doubles... Longer e/w odds... 1.05 Muss - Red Tanber, 20/1... CD winner and goes well with Lucy on top... 2.45 Muss - Ingleby Spirit, 10/1... CD winner who also goes well here... AP/Sherwood Double @ Fakenham... Majorica King, 4/1 + Ben Cee Pee M, 11/4... Good luck to all who are playing today...
Good afternoon and a Happy New Year to you all. Some fancies from me today; BLENHEIM BROOK 3-1 Muss 1.05 looks weighted to win in my opinion and the 10lb claimer on board makes him a good thing in my eyes. WALTER WHITE 3.35 Wolves 7-4 is dropped to selling company in search of a win. When this yard do that they often go in and this fella should easily be good enough to win this. GO AMWELL 3.40 Fakenham 8-1 is off a reasonable mark and the little bit of stable confidence has me believing that he can go well today. Finally a mention for HOME RUN, won for us two days ago, who bids for his fifth win since Dec 7th. 14lb of penalties today so Pipe has stuck a 10lb claimer up. This horse is not the easiest of rides but I am sure the conditional will be aware of his possibly antics. My advice to the lad would be to come wide into the straight and use the stands side running rail to keep him straight. I will be having a play, the weight of which will be determined by how my others got on.
