@geoff20man this football club is in seriously bad way.Avoiding relegation will be a massive achievement. As soon as @NigelGPearson presented the team sheet we were going to lose.players picked in wrong positions sort it or walk.I have been a big fan of NP but this is shocking.
And then he leaves a gap in the middle and gets blamed. Yes, he got outwitted for the goal, but was comfortably the best of the back 3 aside from that. This is on Pearson, he has 1 x CB and 2 x RB/RWB on the bench, all his signings and he plays King at CB and Weimann at RWB out of position in successive games. Terrible management, it’s like he wants the sack.
A bit weird I have to say. I can’t see a way out for Nige now, sorry as I really wanted him to work, but time to go now imo
I agree with Supcon, he seemed happy after the game. Probably working out much severance he'll receive..
I've got to own up, it's embarassing, there must be a sane reason why these choices are made, 1 game until the window opens, is this a challenge for the Lansdown to release some financial aid or asking for the sack, it's crazy.
We'll see if my info is correct that I posted before the game - usually reliable. Anyway I'm off to St Ives in the morning with all the family to see in the New Year. Hope when we get back things are a bit clearer. Happy new year to all.
THIS IS NOSE OFF TO SPITE YOUR FACE! he likely did that hoping his choosing King would be a a win or draw or king played as man of the match failed miserably IMO time to get realistic I'm afraid....................
If you run into a family from Bristol with a mad women propping up the bar. Welcome to meeting my family and my wild auntie as they are all down there. A few of them have their own holiday home cottages down there.
Nige seems to have the knowledge in how to structure a club but clueless in team selection/setup/tactics etc.. I think it was the same at Leicester.. sad, but I don’t think it’s working for him.. Worrying.. I’m not sure as we sit, how much of an advertisement we're putting out to attract a decent manager to get us out of the situation we find ourselves.. Who do we want and who’s gonna want it?
I think we would be quite an attraction to managers. We have a great stadium and facilities, probably the most tolerant owner in the entire English leagues, who doesn’t do knee jerk sackings. Those 2 things alone I would imagine are hugely attractive to a manager, as it gives them time to sort things out.
I was calling for him a while back, but really strange it's not worked out for him with a good outfit as in Norwich.. Makes you wonder that these managers doing the rounds has a sell by date!! Be nice to have one that has young ideas and has a hunger for success!
