I’ve never been an anti royalist, a little ambivalent to them but last year might have been a good year to stop or at least to pull back their excess.
I’m kinda proud that we live in a country where the usual characters (mornin’ Bwood!) are free to share their alternative opinions about the monarchy etc. without reprisal. Perhaps these opinions will prevail and the monarchy is on borrowed time, but in the meantime I’m delighted to live in an age where it remains in rude health, as we shall see today. Such a better state of affairs than the inauguration of a President Blair or Johnson, innit tho?
Like many a babyboomer, l’ve always been a Royalist and thought the Queen was a marvellous lady.
l feel the best decision the Royal family could make would be to crown William, King.
It would’ve brought the Monarchy into this day and age, along with capturing the younger generations.
l struggle to like Charles and even more, Camilla. I feel there are many my age who feel the same.

Flicked on the news thinking I might see some news but it’s just hours and hours of watching Lady Henrietta of Burnley IV sitting on a chair in a room on every channel.

And before you all start on me. I have always said an apolitical monarch as head of state is our ideal solution.
Just love the history, pageantry and the fact we do it so so much better than anyone else
I dunno….there might be some despotic third world regimes that **** over their poor better than us…..but you’re probably right, we do that pretty well
