He was a joy to watch in a red and white shirt and quite a character to boot. However, anyone who swaps The Premier League for a nothing league is a money-grabbing b*stard in my book. Waste of talent.
Was great for the first few months, then got his head turned after scoring against England. Was never the same player after that. At least we got our money back for him
He was a fantastically gifted player who gave us some great moments/memories, but ultimately, like Darren Bent, left us for one reason only . . . . money

I read somewhere that he gave a lot of his money away to poor neighbours as well as his family , we don't realise sometimes that a lot of these players come from backgrounds so different to ours. and cant be compared to the Rodwells of this world.
Surely DB was providing for his family too? The amount of vitriol aimed at him was a tad over the top?
