Anyway, to gain promotion we are going to have to win roughly half the games (23) and draw another dozen or so to be in the 80 point category. That would guarantee a play-off and pretty much 2nd or 3rd place so this season will definitely have a different slant to last year. My colleague here is a big Leicester fan and I had to sympathise in that they begin with Everton (H) and then Chelsea (A) Arsenal (H) Stoke (A) and you can see 4 games and no points as a real possibility and that means being behind the 8 ball immediately. I wouldn't swap to be honest.
We all aspire to the Promised Land and when you get there you realise what a tough gig it is and maybe have second thoughts. Genuinely I am looking forward to this season more than the last couple and the novelty of being turned over week after week is not pleasant.
oh weird, forget that dave - it just came on when i refreshed! wish i hadn't bothered now. is that their idea of 'banter'? **** sake, its going to be a looooooong season.....................
I'm um. let's just say older, on 24th August. How nice to offset the pain of that with another three points in what is going to be a great season! That's going to be one drunken Sunday in celebration of the previous day's result.
