I'm an atheist. I would say that the Church of England is fairly harmless nowadays, all tea and cakes and WI raffles. Not sure any of the Bishops actually believe in God.

I am trying to think what one might call such a thing. I am going for a Demi-Lupidei.

I left the football 20 minutes from the end tonight. I never watched much of it anyway.....My mind was wandering. I didn't think i'd be making up words a short time after. A whole day with no meat (steady on) makes me odd.

    Yes sir. 0-0 against UCD.

Having matches on a Good Friday is stupid. The ground was less full than usual and the burger vans must have lost a fortune with all the Kafflix not eating meat.

You are probably not far off, the CoE has evolved to survive among an educated and more sceptical society - the last step is just abolish the thing, everyone shake hands and go their separate ways.

The Catholic Church unfortunately is a few further steps from abolishment because they still thrive in a lot of uneducated poor societies, teaching brown people that condoms give you aids and whatnot.

I imagine I am more critical of the Catholic Church than most.

At the very lowest level the Catholic Church has been exposed by some high profile investigative journalistic reports as telling communities in various parts of Africa that condoms actually contribute to aids - at the very highest level the official advice is only slightly better http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/mar/17/pope-africa-condoms-aids

So what about the stance of the Catholic church with regards to gay marriage do you disagree with?
What about their teaching on condoms do you disagree with?
What about the reaction to the *****phile preist scandal do you think was wrong?

Would you say then that given my little list of bad stuff and given there's much more to add and given the track record through the centuries that the good outweighs the bad? Perhaps you'd care to list some good things that your church does/has done to provide balance.

    That's easy:
Let the gays get married, if that's what they want, who cares?
Condoms help prevent the spread of AIDS, you are almost guaranteed not to catch it if you wear one
Moving *****s from parish to parish and not telling the police is bad

So members of the Clergy went "off script". That is a world away from "the Catholic Church has been exposed".

The Catholic Church promotes an ideology that would end the spread of AIDS in a generation. How you can say that is only slightly better is bemusing.

Reread my questions and answer the questions that I asked and not the ones you think I asked.
