Off Topic Hangovers

+1 for the water before bed thing. Pretty sure hangovers are as a result of dehydration.

Well, they are a result of getting ****ered, but you know what I mean ...

I'm usually fine if I don't smoke cigs.

A few crappy tabs though, makes me feel like death the next day and I can't shake it off.
Thankfully, I'm not a smoker. I just really enjoy a couple of Marlboro with a pint.

I don't know how you can put yourselves through this every week. It's supposed to get worse as you get older, too. I hate being ill, that alone would make me not drink.

I know, I know. I'm a boring ****.

I do it every week, and wouldn’t change it for anything.
Same as most of the country, fella. I don't mind being around folk that have had a couple pints, but most folk talk ****e and in aren't control of themselves after a few more and that annoys me. I don't like being in that environment.

@Libby Where you at with alcohol?

I can, about fifteen pints, then shared four bottles of Malbec and a pack of Marlboro red.

Found some Brooklyn lager on tap post match which went down a storm, was very nice after the two hours of ****e and bottles of warm half time piss I'd just had.

Going for a Mums day lunch soon. Will have some more Malbec as my cure for last night!

Will stay in bed in the meantime.
****ing hell <laugh>

I’d have been ****ed for about 2 days if I’d have got even vaguely close to that when I was drinking.

Some stamina that fella, doffs cap.

I hardly drink at all these days. I'll have a few beers (2-3 bottles) on a Saturday night when I get back from work and that's it.

You're right, the hangovers get worse as you get older, and I can't be dealing with wasting a whole day or more when my daughter wants to go down the beach and play.

That seems sensible and I can certainly understand a blow out now and again, too. Making yourself ill every week, though :emoticon-0119-puke:

Yep, well as I say, that's come about off the back of years of being a dirty little munter and boshing the drugs and booze.

As soon as my daughter was born, I just realised that I was needed at 4am to change nappies, instead of snorting lines at some random party.

I love drinking but don't have so much that I get a bad hangover. For example last night I had 2 beers and a bottle of wine but over about 6 hours.

Yeah that makes a huge difference, another reason why doing gear makes it a thousand times worse.

Yep that'll just make you feel tired all of the time, even on the days not drinking <whistle>

That's the trouble with drinking through the week. It makes you feel tired the next day, so you have another drink to make it feel better....

There were four of us so that's a bottle each, more or less.

Probably exaggerated the pints by a couple. Not by many though!

I didn't drink any booze Monday- Wednesday but went out for food and a few Thursday and have suffered the effects of a crap night sleep since.

Am ****ed today, definitely don't get enough sleep after a night on the piss.
