Seems I stirred up a bit of debate! I did react harshly at the time yet I still feel that I would have BAE as backup now, because he's simply a liability. How many cards or goals let slip by are we going to take from him? He's undoubtedly skilful but he's also a plonker. I'd have Yun and Clint above him. At least Clint can offer some muscle and aerial defending.
... he arguably should have got a straight red for the first ... was right in front of me ... good bit of skill initially to bring the ball down but lost control and then launched into a desperate lunge ... having had a yellow for that there was nothing at all 'unfortunate' about being sent off for a second late and somewhat reckless lunge ... purely down to him being a brainless (or perhaps just indifferent) tit ... suspect his arse was still burning from being shown up by Nugent's burst of pace and finish ...
BAE could have kept up with Nugent if he'd started running earlier, so I don't blame Nugent's pace, I blame Benoit for not being watchful.
Same old record Queenie eh? just a bit surprised the Vikings and Ashley Cole didn't get a mention ... we could well have both Mahrez and Jeff Schlupp at the World cup (both of whom are a lot quicker than Nugent ) ... frankly, on Saturday's evidence should Cameroon come up against them, BAE will need to hide a GPS in his over elaborate barnet if he's to have any chance of finding them ...
I have a friend at spurs who knows him well, they asked BAE how it was going and he said ok - it's just a job. Fair enough he's a professional, but like anyone you'd want to see a bit if pride there.
I'd rather see Yun busting his guts there than BAE coasting along, I'm sure the other players would too as it pisses people watching team mates not give 100%.
Possibly the biggest upside of Leicester going up and us not is that we won't have to put up with you clowns on here. Jog on!
... don't bet on it rangercolic ... I've tipped you to win the play-offs!! ... let's just hope they can reverse your sense of humour bypass if I'm right
So two of you already planning to be missing the league games then? ... goes some way to explaining all those empty seats in the away end on Saturday ... lighten up a bit lads ... just a bit of banter ...
Much as I question Flyer's one track negative posts about Harry - I am entirely with him on this one. BAE is clearly a very talented player, but one who looks like he is always at 50% - for the quality of player he is, he makes far too many mistakes and even when he does, he never looks like he really cares either way. Yun, by comparison, is clearly more committed and never appears even slightly casual. I need to feel that players want to play for the team, not just pick up a wage irrespective of the result. We love Clint despite his limitations - it's not an accident he has been voted player of the year - he earned it, and he earned his wages. It's not just BAE - but he is symptomatic of the player we really don't need at LR - I have never felt that players (in general) are as detached from the club before - I know this is part of the way that football is going, but looking at Burnley this year, and the way that they have forged a team unit (despite our poaching their striker) is a real inspiration, and a wake up call to those that insist you can only buy your way out of the division. Much was made that this was our best 11 - I disagree... Yun at LB - with Traore in front of him looks much better to me. Someone on Twitter mentioned that Harry appears to be still working out who his best 11 are - at 44 games into the season! If that doesn't ring the alarm bells, then nothing will, promotion or not.
On his day a fantastic footballer, albeit with a questionable attitude. Can see the play offs bringing out the best in him. As previously mentioned, terrible attitude though.
