i wonder how much last weekends gearbox failure has to do with this decision also, maybe nothing but he wasn't happy the previous race when he won at Monza, at least his body language wasn't at all happy

I believe this is untrue. I'm pretty sure that Button has NEVER followed Hamilton since Lewis has had Twitter.

This then leads onto your point they don't really get on behind closed doors, because Fernando does interact/follow Felipe's Twitter.
 
Button and Hamilton's matey facade started out extremely strong. Remember, it survived the Turkey incident!

It started to crack midway through last year and I can't honestly remember the last time I saw the two of them happy in each other's company.

EDIT: Tooned! does not count. :P
 
Only found out just recently (no access to a computer or TV until now.)

This is great news, 3 years of Hamilton not winning races. This is like like christmas coming early.

Ever heard the phrase "Too many cooks spoil the broth". Mercedes have about 43000 technical directors and designers, whereas most other big teams have just 1.
 
This is how I see it, I've gone from a massive **** to the hamelots to now being their leader in the span of 24hrs....

Hamilton won't win at least 1 race in 3 years at Mercedes with the reg changes and a decent team?

Doesn't make sense at all.

He's not as great a driver as you think. The only reason he won in the 2009 McLaren was that it was the best car in the 2nd half of the 09 season. Weirdly, his race wins in 09 came in the 2nd half of the season.

In an almost sick way, i'm going to enjoy all this bitching from Hamilton fans.
