Just hope he can carry it over to the race, keep his tyres straight and not have any pit blunders. *crosses everything*
No, paddles are forbidden under article 6.4.1, Red Bull have a small stick with blades on the end which they claim is a non-movable aerodynamic device though.
Well we are over a week into the summer break and whilst I didn't expect a the signiture of Lewis at Mclaren immediate I at least expected some form of dialogue. Based on Ron's parting comments a few weeks ago (reiterating that they wmployee him and not the other way round) the longer this draggs on the worse it is for both Lewis and Mclaren. I am leaning more towards the fact that he may not (re) sign after all.
Would be cool if right at the last minute he signed for Ferrari, that would really shake up the grid because i am bored of the stability at the top teams. I really want to see either Lewis or Seb join Ferrari, to see both of them out of their comfort zones. Although in reality he seems set to stay with McLaren
"McLaren Managing Director Jonathon Neale says the team are close to agreeing a new deal with 2009 World Champion Lewis Hamilton." 2009? Well done Sky Sports
LOL - Classic! Hopefully we will get an answer either way soon, although a major shock driver transfer would be nice!
Why do they keep trying to remind us about when they won the world title? Unless you are just new, never watched the news, Sky sports news, or read a paper... how the hell dont you know Lewis won in 2008 and Jenson in 2009? It's just a waste of energy! Only F1 fans read about F1 news so we already know this ****
"We are closer" = This doesn't mean a deal is imminent, in fact it's more important to come to an agreement on the big issues, which they clearly haven't done: "We are working very hard to find a common ground."
I can't really see what the delay is now? The trophies are either available to the driver or not, the salary is either acceptable or not and the numbers of years on the contract is either acceptable or not. I still feel that Lewis has a legitimate offer elsewhere, or what else would he have to negotiate with?
Above is Martins view of the new contract agreement progressing. I sure hope he was trying to dumb it down for us or god help him.
