    I suspect it was more in anticipation of one of Simpson/McLean/Stewart leaving (Brady had re-signed, King had signed, Garcia was set til the end of the season and Pusic did go so the rest of the wingers are irrelevent)

    We bid for Hammill before we'd got King, I think the Brady deal was already agreed.

    I suspect from your comments in January you more than "believe so" OLM.
    Isn't it true that with our existing squad in place Barmby still wanted Hamill on a permanent transfer and something (we will probably never be told) has changed since?

    That's interesting with all the games coming up and Stewart struggling a bit and Robbie with a slight injury problem.

    Can't say the club didn't fancy him originally, so why the change?
