LOL. As an Arsenal fan im glad also.

Think Maresca has the makings of a top manager.

He's a big part of the problem, now all we need is to get rid of Stewart and Winstanley and the owners.
If they bring in another "Maresca" type, it's all pointless.

Hmm..the defensive display v Bournemouth was the last nail in the coffin - if you can’t deal with primitive techniques such as long throw-ins (both goals) then it’s time to head down the road; unfortunately Maresca is not the only culprit in our 3 ring circus so as the Boards allegiance is to their back pocket then this will become a familiar event - start showing some interest esp squad selection.

"Chelsea Sporting Director" work schedule.
Monday 9am. Head off to local Kindergarten, sign the 3 toddlers who can actually kick a ball, return to the mansion for a well earned rest.
Tuesday 9am. Flight to South America, repeat Mondays work, fly back. Enjoy the 1st Class benefits and FF Points.
Wed. Day off to recover
Thurs. Hold briefing with Owners to get contracts signed and place the order for Nappies for Academy players.
Friday Plan next weeks workload. Count money in Offshore Account.
Saturday and Sunday, Hide somewhere and let the Manager take the blame.

Manchester United fan here… Football at the top is awash with dark money from pigs that do not care for the game of football, the relevance of hard work and the representation it has on the working people, and ultimately the loyalty of the supporters that crowd the stadiums week in week out.

They spend endlessly to no real end. It’s as though their goal is to destroy the value of money itself.

Similar events that played out at Old Trafford are now taking place here at the Bridge. I pray that by some miracle Rosenoir will succeed if not in 2 years time we’re going to hit the Championship at lightning speed; the good news…..we won’t need a bigger stadium not that our owners had any intention of building one - foot in the door routine.

Having read dozens of views on Maresca here's mine.
1. He knew what the situation was when he joined, he was just there to Manage.
2. He was OK with that and initially did well with what he had, no problem, won 2 Trophies.
3. As time went on however, a couple of things changed.for the worse for him.
(a) The instructions from above widened to include medical advice, pressure on who to play and who to sub and when.
(b) The Owners refused to give him players needed to replace injuries especially Levi Colwill. Maresca was rightly really pissed off.
4. As for team performances, Maresca for his part either cannot change his boring style, OR he decided to do exactly as told and let us flounder. Either way, he did not improve the performances nor adapt the Team well as a good Manager should.
5. And so he's either not a good Manager for Chelsea, or he decided a way out without risking his pay out.
6. He forced the Board to act, so good on him from my standpoint ,he got what he wanted and from a weak position.
The Owners and especially the dopes Winstanley and Stewart are now the "bad" guys and have been completely exposed as incompetents.
It is them who will now cop all the grief and vitriol they deserve, as no one now doubts their stupidity or greed.

Hoping we don't get another tippy tappy pass it back to the CBs rather than take a shot type of team
This is an incredible comment. I’m a Hull fan, season ticket holder for 15 years, including the years under Rosienor as a player and manager.

This comment here has literally summed up his managerial tactic whilst he was with us.

I really like the guy, want him to do well and succeed. But I can’t help but view this as a crazy appointment for a top team.

If he continues to play the Team that way we and he are doomed. It is crystal clear that the scouting has not been for players able to do that successfully.
With 3 experienced players in key positions we would be miles better AND able to rotate the youngsters, at the same time being more able to match the top 2 or 3 Teams. Why the Clown Circus can’t see that is baffling.

Personally I think our appalling form is part of a short term plan to get us relegated so the board will have a genuine excuse not to upgrade our stadium; then we will be back to our core support of 25,000 after the glory hunters leave in droves leaving the survivors to embrace mediocrity once again.
