Good thread idea! Who has been our best player? Cedric. Honourable mentions to Austin and Lemina. Who is getting too much game time? Davis and Redmond. Maybe Tadic at times. Although, having said that, see below. Who is not getting enough game time? In terms of specific players, Austin at the start of the season while Hojbjerg has deserved more time recently. I think a few of our midfield and forward players don’t get enough game time in their best positions (Redmond should be played on the right, Tadic on the left, Davis shouldn’t be playing as a DM) Room for improvement? Hoedt and Gabbiadini seem to me to be the two most obviously capable of playing better than they have been, Boufal could be a little more consistent. For all that he’s been a bright spot Austin should probably have scored more goals than he has. Has Gabbiadini got a future at saints? Yes but I don’t think he suits playing as a lone striker in our current system. I’d like to see us try playing him on the right or in the middle of the three behind the main striker. Best moment? That Boufal goal. Worst moment? Either Burnley’s winner or Man City’s Give us something positive for the 2nd half of the season. I think it’s so obvious something is wrong at the club that there have to be changes made. Whether that’s a new manager or something else I don’t know.
