If only ritson won last night because in was more into boxing than football I felt like I was supporting something genuine from my home city. I've lost my love for football basically I couldn't care less anymore
Just quit supporting the club! It's ****, the potential has faded, our stadiums ****, dated facility's, dull strips, the owner doesn't care, the club offer not one glimmer of hope and the fans arnt as good at games.
And why would that be? Ashley has done nothing from day one to take our club forward, it is solely a vehicle for him to advertise his Sports Direct business and he has no interest in how the team performs as long as he can finish 17th thus enabling more TV revenue.
I know some people woul do anything to get rid of MA and to an extent I agree but I want nothing to do with anything associated with Saudi Arabia.
If they had been in charge a few years ago the fans 'calling for Pardew's head' would have had a whole new outcome.
That is the price of competing. Look at Man C and Chelsea. Sheikh Mansour and Abramovich are hardly bastians of good will to all men. Qatari ownership of PSG? The list is as long as your arm. They're all seedy ****s who have accumulated wealth while trashing the little man and caring little for human rights.
It depends what people want really. You either join them or drop down the leagues basically. No other way to compete barring some miraculous generation of talent coming through the youth system. But they'd just be bought off by these clubs. I'm a bit meh. For the first time in my lifetime I am less interested in my club. I still support Newcastle. Ashley has dulled my enthusiasm no doubt, but to be honest football in general has lost its lustre for me. Money has eaten away some of the values that football always carried in my opinion. Many will say money has only done good and each to their own. I can't relate to the modern day footballer, and even less so their antics on the pitch.
