I wonder whether we might see this again. We don't seem to be getting linked to too many wingers and he does like to have that player who can drop into the middle and stop us being outnumbered and possibly outnumber other teams. And Drinky is a player who has the right work rate levels to do that role. Drinkwater - Danns - James - Marhsall Could be worse?
It clearly wasnt working, he wasnt getting the best out of him and he kept drifting in and leaving the fullback exposed For some players at some clubs it works but for Koren with us it just wasnt working I know he played there a lot at WBA but I dont watch other teams often so not sure why it appeared to work there and not here
Show me one single post I have made saying anything against Heskey . I haven't seen much of him of late so I have no idea what he is like now. Infact show me one single post where I have said anything against Nigel Pearson .
OK, we believe you...you think heskey and nigel are wonderful.. so do all your playmates...its just propaganda from us orrible leicester fans..
Agreed with all of this... I would happily have Heskey alongside Fryatt or (Baldock as some are reporting) but we need a good winger.
I'm certainly not impressed by this signing, Heskey hasn't had a decent game for over ten years. I'd be more impressed by the fact we'd actually managed to sign him, given his desire to stay in the Premier League (Oh Emile, give up the ghost ). BUT, out of Heskey on a free to us and Beckford for £4m to you, I know which is more laughable (hint: it's not Heskey to us).
You do realise that half the comments posted on that Heskey thread were only posted as wind-up's as you lot descended on it? I think he'd actually be really good with Fryatt and dropping down a league he might even score a few himself.
I wasn't actually one of the ones who said he was ****, I just said I was surprised how bad his goal scoring record was last season. And it was really bad.
OK here's my two-penneth - Bruce was an inspirational signing as manager - Not only does have have a wealth of (current) experience and a proven track record, it also sent a message out to both the Hull fans and the greater football world that the impression that they were retreating from investing in Hull that was being suggested was wrong. Bruno though, is a much different scenario - Without doubt his best days are behind him - Villa didn't let him go because he was improving, at his age I don't even think he's on a plateau, I think he will fade from herein - Obviously there's a great history between us and I very much hope that doesn't cloud any decision to offer him a contract at Leicester - I fear Bruce may get drawn into dropping a clanger due to past relationships
I think Nigel Pearson built us a good team at Hull City and I was peed off when he left . I have always said he is a good manager and I thought you would make the play offs last season . I even had a bet that Hull City v Leicester City would be the play off final ... I also say IF Hull Finish one place below Leicester City this coming season we will be in a play off spot if not auto promotion .. As for Heskey I have hardly seen him play for a while so I have no idea if he is any good . I don't get it with all the Hull / Leicester stuff apart from when AKCJ was invading everyone's boards with his famous ' walk the league ' ' promoted by Christmas ' rubbish last season. I think both Hull City and Leicester have a good chance of a play off place in the coming season and maybe promotion.
